  1. Hey ToffeeBlue

Also in Melbourne and have failed in the past to locate any fan clubs here. Myself and brother are keen to watch the games somewhere "painted in blue". Maybe a pub somewhere with a blue gathering can be one of the initial steps???

    Any ideas anyone??

As someone has mentioned there seems to be plans to get together some sort of fan club at the moment.

I remember one a few years back but that folded due to being run badly and it cost too much to join up. Hope this new one is somewhere close to FREE to join.

  2. Keepers Arms in Peel St, North Melbourne is the best bet for a start- very central - near Vic market. They always have it on and have several Tv's so more than one game can be shown. Not too sure if they will still be open for the late game v Blackburn though.......

    Another Melbourne Blue here,

The Charles Dickens on Collins Street shows late games but I think they only have 1 telly and the landlords a Man Utd fan.

  3. It has to happen!.........Perhaps it does!BUT does it guarantee we will become a

    better more successful football club?

Maybe we will make more money from slightly improved gates, and corporate business,

but then we may spend more on players like Yakubu.

Do Luckypool think their new stadium will ensure they finally win the championship?

They wont if they can't beat teams at that superdome!

Yakubu has cost nearly twice as much as AJ!....Do you really think he will be twice

    as good?

Dont know about twice as good but I'm certain he'll get more goals (if he stays fit).

  4. 1. small squad

    2. other top clubs have god knows how much money but we have a budget soo we cant just splash out on any1 we want we have too push for the money but if we did win dat wud be fantastic

Small squad YES, but its looking like a bloody good one. If we can avoid injuries and too many bookings this has the potential to be one of our better seasons. However given our higher than usual optimism this season it also has the potential to be one of the most disappointing.

  5. I have heard some say he is a bit lazy, but as long as hes in the right place at the right time to knock a few in I'm prepared to overlook that flaw. Besides, if he plays alongside Andy Johnson, AJ will do enough running for both of 'em. I'd be surprised if he dont end up being our top goalscorer this season. The only one we've got that I can see getting over 20 per season (sorry AJ).
