I don't think we should go for Downing. He isn't that great after all and I think that he would be over priced (like all English players). I saw a guy playing for Bayer Leverkusen, his name is Tranquillo Barnetta. He is a great young player and he would fit in great at Everton. He is probably one of Leverkusens best players, and he would be cheaper than Downing.

Leverkusen have set Barneta an asking price of 6.5 mln pounds.

Is there any further information about a transfer of Arshavin to Everton ?

It is claear that Capello is the best in the world and he can make a lot with young and prospective players like Robinho and SWp,but i hope SWP won't play against us.

Fernandes arrested after disco brawl

Valencia's Portuguese midfielder, Manuel Fernandes, failed to report for training this morning after being detained following a brawl at a Valencia disco that started at around 5am.

It seems that the incident started whenFernandes and his party, that included team-mate, Miguel, was accused of stealing a watch, prompting security staff to call in the police.

The explanation was given at training this morning by Miguel, who was not detained, although his brother was.

Fernandes joined Valencia from Benfica last summer for €18 million euros, tipped to become the team's next playmaker.
