A good (lucky) result but we cant rely on the likes of Rodwell to get us through the season - we need a replacement for AJ and a holding midfielder as a minimum before the transfer period closes. Saw the pre-season friendly against Preston when Moyes played mostly youngsters in midfield and attack - it was poor. We only won cause of an early goal and then shut up shop with a senior squad defence.

Hi All I'm a life long blue and new to the forum. The first match I saw at Goodison was in 1977/8, in the Bullens with my mum. A 6-0 win over Chelsea (how times have changed) when Bob Latchford got his 30th goal. At the time, I thought all matches were going to be like that one!! My favourite game was in 1985, the 3-1 win over Bayern Munich. I was in Gladwys St with a mate, drunk on the euphoria of that season. I dont get to the match as often now (4ish a year + a couple of local away games) but watch the highlights on EvertonTV. Thought I would just introduce myself and see if anyone knows if I can get a DVD of the 6-0 Chelsea win?
