  1. My appraisal of him is simple. AJ worth £10m then as he is 3 times the player he is worth £30m. If he was english he would be partnering Rooney up front for the national team, no question. He is one of the best goal scorers I have seen in Prem, even at pompey and middlesborough he was 20 goals a season. Would not surprise me if one of the top 3 ever tried to buy him, his work rate shouldn't really be questioned, he does what he does and does it well, when he drops deep he makes good lay offs, he can hold ball up. His passing is very good, tremendous power in either foot. £12m was a great piece of business, just got to make sure he has his head on the game.

Great post and a smashing appraisal of the Yak, love it :D

from a place called Launceston in Tasmania - been a blue fan for about 15 years

Didn't we try and play cricket there against you lot a few years back?

  3. Class guy though always makes me laugh!

    Just be a good character...

Back to SWP he would be a pretty big signing i reckon DM would turn him into a magical player.

No doubt this rumour will fizzle into nothingness..

If we really have signed him SWP i will eat my hat

Well that should guarantee our first signing :lol::lol:

    Maduro To Head Valencia Clear-Out

Hedwiges Maduro has been told that he will spend the next season out on loan and has insisted that is only willing to join another Spanish club from Valencia.

The Dutch midfielder only moved to Mestalla in January after Ronald Koeman signed him from Ajax, but new coach Unai Emery has already decided that he is not part of his plans.

Ahead of Valencia's Super Cup second leg in Madrid, Maduro held talks with the trainer and was told the reasons why he is not going to be a part of the squad this season.

While the 23-year-old did not understand the decision, given that he has had so few chances to prove himself, he understands that he must now look for a new club.

A loan deal could easily be set up in the next few days with Racing Santander, Deportivo La Coruña and Real Betis all considering making a move for Maduro.

Valencia are set for a busy week with Éver Banega's loan switch to Atlético de Madrid to be completed next week, while Nikola Zigic is set for talks with both Everton and Galatasaray.

Ludovic Butelle is surplus to requirements but has had not interest and neither has there been any clubs making enquiries about Hugo Viana after he was made available by los che.

I wonder if Fernandes melted into the scenery altogether or are they keeping him?

  5. Lets be honest here lads although we are in shit street we were unlucky to lose in the end to Blackburn, yesterday dame fortune smiled on us for once. You have yet to hear from a RS fan about them being exceedingly lucky yesterday and they robbed Sunderland something rotten. Our small squad has all the frailties listed in these pages so the one extra thing it doesn't need is us lot on its back, lets get fully behind the lads who are going out on the park and screw the crap out of those who are responsible for us being in shit street, one thing is certain the players are innocent! :o

  6. We're in the shitter ATM though. Need to get something next Saturday against Bolton.

Loved your song though " 2-0 up can we sack the board" B)

Best of luck for the season Baggies you're a great old club and belong in the big time more than most

  7. today's result was a big one I feel, it will hopefully make us look a bit more attractive to potential signings and prove that even now in times of utter desperation we have players with the ability to get us results.

I must admit that having supported Moyes from day one my patience is wearing thin with him at the moment. We won today but his post match comments suggested that we were lucky, we didn't deserve to win....................they are not the comments of a winning manager with so many kids in his squad. In my book he should be singling each one of them out for special praise followed by words such as all bodes well for the future once we get some new faces in. His attitude at present is a disgrace, he may well have good reason to feel that way as he knows what is going on behind the scenes but he is failing in his job by acting like someone who believes their own publicity, he is doing nothing for the club acting in this fashion.

  8. here here im so pissed

they are showing bloody stoke vs villa

    and blackburn vs hull

    they are kidding them selves

although i really love the coverage ussally

As a blue I agree with you but at the start of the season they cover the promoted teams while there is still an interest in them, Stoke and Hull are both new to the prem.

  9. I've no problem with most Evertonians, half my family are Blues. Of course, I have a problem with the ones who fail to see that we do have a lot of intelligent football supporters.

I won't go into the Everton supporters that irritate me because it wouldn't be fair on an Everton forum! ;)

I was born into a family of reds including an uncle who played for their reserves but as luck would have it I was chosen and became a blue. Some 60 years later all my family are blues, the red strain has been eradicated
