Would have taken a draw at the start of the day, just a shame we didn't hold on.
-
It's a grand old team to support...
-
COYB!!! Have faith.

Please, please, please don't start him Davey!
Agree.
Lack of match fitness. Plus Baines is on top form.
I think Anichebe could be in for a great game on Monday, he performed - IMO - against Aston Villa plus the UEFA Cup games last season. No reason why he can't do it again.
-
Have a feeling the luck may go our way for this one.
-
Yes Yes Yes.
Exactly the type of player we need to move us forward as a club.
-
It could be a groundshare between Everton, Liverpool and St Helens :laughingsmiley:
-
Not long to go now. My predictions:
Leeds
Saints
Wigan
Wire
Bulls
Catalans
Hull
Hudds
------------
Hull KR
Quins
Cas
Wakey
Salford
Celtic
-
Haven't conceded since the Villa game. Good news for the defence. In the Hull and Sunderland games we've easily been the better sides. Let's hope we can transfer this form to the derbies.
-
Without Fellaini I'd go:
Howard
Neville Jags Lescott Baines
Ossie Castillo Arteta Pienaar
Cahill
Anichebe
1-1. Torres for them Cahill for us.
-
Arteta again, controlled things.
Shame about Fellaini.
-
Hull
in Match Days
Cahill and Lescott. 2-0.
-
I believe if we carry on our good form and get a good striker in we can win them both. Hopefully by then Gerrard will be in prison. COYB!

Thats the telly for you. Wanting to make the lower league sides better than they are. I didn't watch the match and judging from what I saw it seemed as if Macc's were on top for the game and the score-line was scraped. Judging by your posts this isn't the case.
I reckon we had about 70% of the ball. Their only tactics in the 1st half was to lob it up to our defenders who IMO were too deep. In the 2nd half, when our defenders pushed forward, Macclesfield couldn't get out of their half and they had 2 chances in stoppage time.
-
I didn't think Chebes did too bad. When he got the ball he held it up well and created chances for himself and others. Although he did look a bit rusty due to lack of match fitness. I was horrified with the Setanta commentary, but the ITV highlights were even worse. They showed Macclesfield's 4 chances and our goal and Cahill's chance. And to someone who didn't see the whole game, it would seem as if they were the better side.
-
Because Rooney's attitude when he comes to Goodison is bad. Maybe he's angry because he got pushed out. But kissing the badge is unacceptable.
-
Baines, I hope he can make that left back his own. It means Lescott, Yobo and Jagielka have to raise their game which is only good news.
-
Completely agree about the Setanta comentators they talked utter rubbish all through the match. Macclesfield have been the better team when they lobbed the ball up and had 2 chances. Everton havn't got going yet, we were comfertable all the way through the match.

We could go:
Howard
Hibbert Jags Lescott Baines
Osman Neville Arteta Pienaar
Cahill
Anichebe
-
In the league?
Hull (H) 3 points defo
Liverpool (A)
Arsenal (H)
Man Utd (A)
4 points for me, 3 points preferbly v Arsenal, if we get that, then we can fight for 4th spot.
-
Arteta today was pure class, no doubt about it who my vote's gone to.
-
If you said Arteta was average you must not have been watching the same game.
He was all over the park.
Pienaar was always providing support and creativity.
Neville was solid.
Fellaini was good in the 1st half then went quiet.
Ossie was quiet.
Jags and Lescott were solid.
Howard didn't have too much to do.
Hibbert was average.
Baines supported down the line well.
Cahill should have scored from the header.
Gosling showed a great bit of flare with his run into the box, well taken goal.
It's good Jukwevitz got his début and it's good that Anichebe is back.
-
Good news about the sell out.
I'm going for 4-0 to us.
Saha, Fellaini, Cahill and Lescott.
-
I've missed the last 2 since the City game so hoping another victory is on the cards.

Chebes had a great game today IMO.
