I'd just like us to be in a situation where we have the option to put someone with as much quality and experience as Nolan on the bench!!!!

 

The way things are going, now with Ozzie injured, we'll be taking kids out of school to put them on the bench in future games

Just thought I'd point out that kids dont go to school on Saturdays or Sundays and if we play midweek it will be an evening kick off so they should have had enough time to do their homework and get to the ground in time!

I dont honestly think it would be that bad of a signing. I mean, lets face it, he's no Maradona (or Mouthino for that matter) but hes the kind of player that home fans hate to love and away fans love to hate. He's a Duncan Ferguson type player. Big Dunc was never a 20 a season man but whenever he was on the pitch you know he would have spilt blood and guts for the cause. IMO Alan Smith is in that same mould. He'd bring far more bite to our midfield than any of our current players.

I think your missing the point TOFFEE_BOY.... Moyes has been fucked about more then any of us! He's been totally sold down the river by BK and the rest of the board. If saturdays result doesnt persuade BK to dig deep then nothing will...

^^^^ Well my thoughts are Rennes will play him as a substitute so we loose interest in him.

If thats the case then it could work in our favour. I think we should still sign him anyway because lets face it, we play more domestic games than European games so we still need him. If he does take part then they will only be giving us the upper hand in regards to transfer fee. We could still go in for him but we may get him for the price that we want to pay, rather than the price Rennes want to be paid!

I hear this alot but if we want to challenge top 4 teams we need Top Quality strikers.. Not saying that Larsson is this but we are not going to get 20goals a season from Vaughan or Vic they lack experience same with Lukas. Yes they should be given a chance in the first team but in my opinion none of them are ready for full time premiership action this year.

They wont get 20 goals a season sitting on a bench thats for sure. IMO if the youngsters are good enough, they're old enough. I say give them a fair crack of the whip this season (injuries permitting).

We need to concentrate on recruiting some midfielders, not forwards. We have Vaughny, Cheebs and Lukas all chomping on the bit to get a bit of first team action and although they are all a bit raw, they all add something a little different to our make-up.

We need to give this a wide berth imo.... <_<
