well on very good shout its almost done no crap about 1 mil extra 5.5 mil he's are's but not till about the 5th of july

i think sidwell will most probably end up at man utd (taking over scholes mantle). but i think sidwell would benefit from coming from coming to a club like us or the barcodes or spurs. i think he would benefit from stepping up to the next level rather than going to the likes of chelski or arsenal.

but at the end of the day if the money is put on the table then who wouldn't turn it down

i think if we cant tie down manny then i think Barton would be the next best choice. i would still like to try and sign sidwell to increase the squad only if his wages are right because we will need good rotation in the midfield if we are to stand any chance to get a decent league position and do well in europe

as long as he brings in the players before pre season training so they can bond with the team and get fit i'd rather not just jump in a buy players that might not be good for the club

when Nuge was 1st mentioned i thought would be quality

but with rumblings of bent if we would be paying the same price for Nuge as we would for bent then i am still unsure who i would go for

with bent you know u are getting min 10 goals a season

along with power pace strength and heading ability to prem standard proven

but with Nuge he does bring a bigger risk to the transfer

in my dream world i would have both for rotation (which would give us the best strikers in depth in the league i would say anyway)

but if at the end of the day if given the choice in the position we are in i would rather not take the chance

only if he is in the same bracket as bent.

i think everyone is probably shooting a little high i dont think DM will actually have a great deal of money i think with raising funds from sales of BT VDM and a couple of other players then it will be 1 of 2 options

1. we will sign Manny and pos a small other outlay on a player

2. we dont get Manny and we get Nugent Sidwell and possibly a other in which ever position DM thinks he most needs cover

this all really depends on how much we are really going to have to spend in the summer.

i think we still have possibly a mil or 2 left over from what we could have spent in jan, but even with the sale of BT and letting some of the deadwood go. i think we would be lucky to buy manny and a other.

i think it will be either manny or a few others.

ok well 1st i think DM should stay 1st of all i will admit i could make the game as i was in work

tony hibberts being brought on. can any one tell me did we change formation at all from the one that had seen us come back into the game or did DM just replace a player with lack of match fitness

i am not saying that vaughan should not have been brought on but seeing as though we were getting battered playing 4 4 2 what would have been the point in reverting back to it if it didnt work?

as for BK i am not blaming him but he doesnt have the financial backing to move the club forward and if he is an evertonian 1st should be proactively looking for investment but that we will never know

going back to DM his hands have been tied we do have the smallest squad in the prem we are going to get injuries and suspensions towards the end of the season but instead of turning round in the middle of a game and booing your own manager because of a decision i would loved to have seen hibbo bang one in to prove everyone wrong but it he didnt but what would have been the reaction if he would have brought vaughan on and we got beat he would have got slated

i'm still backing him because i know its going to take time to turn this club around not just 2 or 3 seasons

for my under 9's (i think) i played all across the midfield then moved back into centre defence for a few years then ended shifting to right back by the age of 16 then shifting between RB and RM the last time i played but hoping to start training a again and i'm on the look out for a new side to be honest

well i have all the faith in DM and i'm not starting this as a sack the manager thread but i think are transfer policy needs to be looked at

i totally agree we have to be careful with what money we have and get value for money until some serious investment is made and we should buy the right sort of players and i believe the majority of DM transfer decision have been good

but when we need players we should be more forward in the transfer market i'm not sure whether we need to employ a director of football (i think thats right) to bring in the right players at the right time or maybe we do need some one with the financial clout to buy players when we need them

well we will see how the season pans out it will either show that we dont have enough fire power or defensive ability but i will wait and see where we finish at the end of the season
