  1. i thought he looked quality at arse, he has took a big dip in form/ability by all reports though. saying that form can be turned around by the right environment, training and team mates. the last two i would say yes, finch farm, sippin back sangria with micky, but on the first though not so sure, he said he was homesick when he played in england last time and this could all happen again.

another thought, could we do a loan with option to buy deal? a try before we buy type thing has worked well with other foreign players at everton and seams like the way moysey likes to do business. as he has been on loan last season and can't get a game at atletico could this be on the cards?

  2. i wouldn't want to dirupt the team too much as it would take to long to gell so just a few quality signings

    id have:

moutinho- just to shut up the papers and all the speculation- the thread in rumourama is 52 pages long, i'll say no more :P

glen johnson- try and steal the sale from chelski/liverpool, that would piss on their chips over the park!

a quality right winger to give us width which I think we lack at times, hmmm maybe ribery as this is pure fantasy

and tevez in as a striker to offer something different than yak, also better than him goin to man city

id also get loads of young talent like weve already been linked with to be understudies to the first team, ie delph naughton etc

  3. depends who arsenal keep/lose, they could be for the taking next season!

if they do loose adebayor, which looks likely, i think they will cope as they have edwardo coming back who looks quality and no doubt they will sign someone else to replace him who can get the goals,

if they loose wenger to real madrid i think they will be up shit creek and will fall apart

i read chelski have £50 mil to spend in the summer so would think they will recruit some new blood with fresher legs than they have now

on a tangent i also saw malouda is going to be put up for sale, wander how much he would cost.....he's looked quality since hiddink took over and has been man managed well.

  4. Vic- Crap.

I wouldn't mind at all if we sold Anichebe, but to be honest I can't see it happening, at least not this summer. I think right back is covered, as long as we get Jacobsen on a longer deal, and as for strikers, it would be nice to see another one come in (not Owen or Crouch), but that's not our top, top priority.

i think your right he is pretty shit and seams to be a bit of a child still if i'm honest (bust up with moysey), so getting rid could defo be best option. I did hear he might be going to cardif on loan as part of the deal for ledley. if this came off it might be best for both us and him though as he might do quite well in the championship, he is strong as he showed playing liverpool but hes not deadly infront of goal....yet? also he might come back a bit more experienced and mature. meaning we get a decent striker in a few years, and he gets time on the pitch to hone his skills. i might be well off mark here and he may prove to be a donkey for the rest of his career but its an interesting thought.

also we could get this fletcher guy from scotland fairly cheap who is at least confident infront of goal (-so therefore better than vic) didn't he almost score an overhead kick last weekend against celtic?

  5. does anyone think we should be targeting a right sided midfielder this summer, or shift old Peanuts across and get a leftie in?

it would be a shame to break up the Baines/Pienaar partnership which has been working well of late, but as some people have previously commented on here a natural left footed player could work awesome with Bainesy.

how well do people think peanuts did on the right the other week? any potential in swapping him over there full time?

  6. second that, jacobson should be given a chance to shine....we can't really judge him on one game with the first team, he seams well up for it anyway with what he's said in his interviews and admitted he's not firing on all cylinders so at least that's positive. lets hope he can show why he's an international and step up his game against wigan

  7. You only have to look at the Arshavin transfer saga to see how player power can win, at the end of the day if he wants to leave he will and there aint much you can do about it.

gareth bary and ronaldo last summer springs to mind though....

both of them were in the press saying they wanted to leave but the managers dug their heels in and they both ended up staying put for the season. maybe something similar happened at sporting?
