  1. sorry lads i didnt know where to put this ...

Everton defender Phil Jagielka is the latest footballer to be the victim of violent crime. Cheshire Police have confirmed that three knife-wielding criminals broke into his home and robbed him on Thursday night.

The England international, currently sidelined with a serious injury, was forced to hand over valuables including Rolex watches and the keys to his Range Rover, which was later found abandoned nearby.

Police suspect that the offenders might have believed the player to be away with the Everton squad at Hull City for the League Cup third-round tie, which was won 4-0 by the Toffees.

The incident is the latest in a string of attacks on footballers' properties, with criminals targeting players whose sides are either playing away or are on international duty, mainly in Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.

It is not known whether the player's wife and two children were present at the time of the attack, according to The Times.

    A Cheshire Police statement reads:

"Shortly after 8pm on Wednesday, September 23, three men gained entry to a house in Knutsford. The homeowner was threatened with a knife and forced to hand over jewellery and the keys to his Range Rover. Fortunately nobody was hurt during the incident and the car was found abandoned a short distance away.

"A police investigation into this incident is under way and detectives are appealing to anyone who may have any information that may assist in this investigation to contact police."

  2. just think what moyes has done for this club, signed great players such as arteta, cahill, peanuts, jags and even mr lescott for bus money! yes we dont play arsenal football but look we have finished 5th in the last 2 seasons with an FA Cup final thrown in there. also a good UEFA Cup run. Marsh is just a negative fan and ive never enjoyed reading his posts.

  3. i would class Big Dunc as one of my heroes. im only 20 and when i was growing up it was always duncs name floating around. i do understand where some of you lot are coming from as he was 'thug like' but in my eyes he loved playing in the blue shirt. but how i wish i was growing up watching the likes of ball, harvey, kendall and labone! they were real heroes/legends!

  4. A little harsh given the situation. Confidence stems from the back and with Yobo and Pip at the back I doubt even the cheshire cat would be grinning!. Yobo is a good CB but only when he has someone there to lead him, which is where the experienced Distan will come in.

We are also in poor form genraly at the mo which doesnt help. I think playing away and getting a result with 10 men is a good job done. At the moment its about getting results, when they come confidence will grow and so will the form of the team.

Everton needs us to cheer them on now. Everyone knows the problems, and I hope a couple of additional signings will help. Moaning wont help, lets cheer them on and let the team settle after the Lescott fiasco.

i didn't mean it in a harsh type of way lol, we just need to bring in some solid players and start playing football, in my opinion if it was wigan tonight i dont think we would have got 3 points but hopefully getting into the group stages will boost the lads confidence for sunday!
