Kind of descended into Anarchy this thread. Personally I think Drenthe is a great loan move. Think of it as a try before you buy kinda deal. If he performs for us and does well I think he'll stay and we'll most likely get him on a free. It works the other way too, if he's too much trouble on or off the pitch we just say cheerio and go looking for someone else. Got high hopes for this lad and reckon he brings an extra dimension to the team.

Gutted to see him go but wish him all the best. He'd done all he could do with us and he's 29, not too long left in his career. Can't blame the guy going to a champions league club. Best of luck Arteta, you'll be missed!

Just seen on skysports news that drenthe has arrived in liverpool. Fingers crossed.
-
Over the hill? Is Drenthe not about 24?
*obviously need to refresh a little more often, seen someones pointed this out already

Watching sky sports news and apparently blackburn are 'very close' to signing Yakubu
-
Beckford still has to agree personal terms and may not sign. I remember reading an article where it was said that he didn't want to leave Everton after waiting till 26 to make it into the top flight.

there's a forum for weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. I've been using this since myp2p went down.

nice draw, I agree with Marcopaulo this really is a competition we should be looking to win. With so many clubs not fielding full strength teams it could be a back door into Europe for us.

For me we were getting closer to going one down, we were under quite a bit of pressure and we needed to make a change.
Im pretty sure that he will have made Ross know he needed to make a change and it was just that he chose him.
He was a bit naive in giving the ball away an giving the penalty away but I'm sure he will make more mistakes, if he learns from them he will become a very good player.
No one has the slightest clue what moyes said to Ross after the game away from the cameras and the worlds press.
I must say, right after he gave the penalty away I was hoping one of the senior players or the captain would have had a little word in his ear or arm round the shoulder. I didn't see that, disappointed.
what he said

Dunno why I left him out!! Any of the three (Heitinga, Jas and Distin) in the middle would be fine by me. Jags has made a couple of mistakes recently so maybe drop him to show him he isn't untouchable?

I'm going for a draw in this game 1-1. I'd love to see barkley score, it will do wonders for his confidence and he does love to have a dig.
Howard
Neville Heitinga Jagielka Baines
Barkley Fellaini Rodwell Arteta
Saha Beckford
I like Arteta playing out wide and I'd like to see Beckford up front with someone. Won't happen I know. Rodwell was much better in the center, never want to see him out wide again.

2-1 get in!
-
Arteta, great to see him making some very nice forward runs, taking players on and getting his passes on target. Could have a goal or two himself and an extra couple of assists.
-
Can't see it but you never know. Moyes has taken a lot of flak this year but I'd still hate to see him leave. Give the man some cash and lets see what he can really do.

Just watched the MOTD highlights on footytube and I think we looked pretty good. Bare in mind I only got 7 minutes of highlights but we looked great going forward, particularily through Arteta, shame about the finishing cause we could have won by a lot more. Saha should have had a hat trick again and a striker of his quality should have done a lot better, especially that header he put a mile over the bar. I've missed our last two premiership games and we've won both! I'll be working Thursday morning while the Birmingham game's on so anyone for 3 in a row?
-
Has to be Saha really, can't score 4 goals and not get MOTM. Fellaini for a very close second.
-
What a game!! Worth sitting up till 4am for a change! COYB

I agree with everyone who says we have to start experimenting. Give the kids a go! Being in Australia I have to sit up pretty damn late to watch the games and it's getting a bit depressing watching the same thing week in week out. Saha in particular has to go. For the 80 mins he was on he did nothing (I really wanted to see Yakubu start but it's pretty obvious he's on his way out). We're too predictable now, we're played the same formation for how many years? We also gotta give the right hand side of the pitch a go. Coleman looks great on the ball and is willing to take players on.

Welcome....we've got a fair few Oz based blues....maybe you could all meet up somewhere centrally. It's only a little country isn't it ?
Yeah it's tiny Was able to make it to the Melbourne Heart game pre season and it was great to see so many Everton fans.

Hello toffees. Life long Everton fan here originally from northern ireland but now living in Australia. Suffering from a real lack of football fans over here so decided to look for a forum where I can speak to other Evertonians. Only got one person here who's interested in football and he's a liverpool fan!!!
Moyes

Don't think Moyes is going anywhere. He always speaks highly of the club and it was Arteta that forced the transfer through not Bill or Moyes. What's the point in keeping a player who doesn't want to be here? Just look at lescott. Moyes isn't stupid. I'm interested in seeing how Modric does now that he's been fored to stay at spurs.
