  1. The kings dock was designed to be a multi function stadium and to help develop the dock area, I believe after the football side of things fell through, they built the echo arena there.
  2. Just wondered what others think regarding where this club is going under the present owners? - Do you see any hope while Blue Bill is in charge? What makes me sick is the time and money that has been wasted on various scheme's such as the kings dock fiasco and the less said about Kirkby the better. Probably wasted 10 million on those projects alone. If that money had been used to upgrade Goodison in the first place we wouldn't now be talking about potential buyers being put off by the need to find 100's of millions that are needed to move to a new ground. I can't believe footballs boom period just passed us by, like when we had the chance to pay 30 million for Kings Dock. (Now that was the deal of the century Keith!!) - it reminds me of house buyers being put off by the initial costs, but those who did 10-20 years ago are laughing all the way to the bank. If we had done that the owners would have had a massive return and they would have been bought out ages ago. Bout time our directors pulled their fingers out and realised if they want to see a return then they should start investing in the stadium we have got, not some hair brain scheme that we have no hope in hell of getting. We can not keep hoping that something will land on our laps, the one chink of light that there could have been a ground share probably went when England lost the bid for the 2018 world cup. The Park End stand needs an extra tier badly, this could include some corporate boxes that are desperately required and an extra 4,000 or so unrestricted view seats and this is without hugely increasing the footprint of the stand. This would not cost the earth and immediately make us more attractive having a 44k stadium with ex. boxes. I think I'm right in saying that the PE stand only cost 2 million new, surely we can then use this same template to make a cheap and cheerful new Bullens Road stand. This will then give us two stands joined together with capacity of around 27,000 - with the Main stand adding 12,664 and Gwladys street a further 10k, we are then looking at a 50k stadium with more facilities and unrestricted views for around 50 million max. If the club then sell the naming rights for the stadium (its not something I would love - but we all would still call it Goodison anyhow) I don't see this as a massive investment when it could lead to a big return for the incumbent owners. We have to start living in the here and now and not off past glories... I've attached a picture of what the new stand could look like, I have more pictures if people are interested. Sorry for the long post!
