  1. If only kean would walk out at half time, would've made my bloody Christmas!!

I've been trying my best not to watch ssn or read any sports related websites this past week because I'm pretty shocked at the level of grief Rovers fans seem to have been getting over this. Only two chants were (and have ever) been directed at kean - 'kean out' and 'we want kean out'. That's it. We've not even managed to throw in a swear word yet!!

We're not chanting as a reaction to a bad half of football as he suggests nor at the players (the support for them has been quite clear through all of this), but the way our club has crumbled in the past 12 months. Of course Kean is a symptom of the whole thing but I've never known a manager criticise his own fans on so many occasions and also suggest that 'good fans' should confront 'bad fans' when they are being negative. All the while we're hurtling towards the Championship at a rapid pace he tells us today he's doing a 'marvellous job' and that 'we're still going to finish in the top ten' Aye alright!

anyway hope you all have a merry Christmas (that's why I came on here!) and best of luck for the rest of the season.

  2. Don't do it is my advice!!! I don't know how real your takeover is or if it is just paper talk, but I just hope that you don't end up in the same mess as us. It is less than a year since the Venkys took charge of us and to say it has been a disaster is an understatement. Whether through stupidity, naiveness, malice or whatever, they've managed to undo all the good work of the past 20 years in just 11 months, so much so it just doesn't feel like Rovers any more.

I know you need investment of some kind, but you shouldn't piss away everything that is good currently about Everton for the chance of some quick success to get you 'to the next level' wherever that is. Cos the likelihood is that those who are investing in you care very much less about Everton than you do.

  3. dude..you're bein too polite to us about that game laugh.png

tongue.png Like I said, I've only watched MOTD. I did record Football First, but I deleted it because I cant be arsed to watch.

btw I've read a few more posts on here - if you'd like to send Moyes our way then we'd be most grateful! (we can dream!)

  4.

Switching to egg chasing, things must be bad! Should be a good game that and i will be keeping 1 eye on that game as well as this

Haha, well good decision by me to go to Wembley rather than Ewood!

So I've only seen the MOTD highlights and alls I can really say is that if you get two penalties then you must score them. Hoilett's was just rubbish and Formica's was a bit unlucky but still should be scoring. I think that our first one and yours were not pens, but you capitalised on yours whilst we didn't. Once again Kean dropped the two players who scored in the previous game (maybe that is why Hoilett and Formica missed!) which makes no sense. Still at least we were in your box 40 times......(that is his new favourite statistic)

I think this should kickstart your season. I know you've got money troubles but you've still got a top class manager and good players and you'll be fine this season. Can't say the same for us sad.png

  5. Welll im missing my first home game in about 7 years cos am watching Wigan at Wembley instead. But Im really not expecting a great deal out of the game. Ignoring our first 5 minutes vs Sheff Wed, we've been pretty awful so far.

Our defence which in previous years has looked ok is now pretty bare without jones and samba (whereever the hell he is) and we can hardly count on roberts to score us any goals. Tho the biggest problem is the utter clown in charge, im not sure how long he needs to stay, and howmany games he can lose then manage to say it was a positive performance, to prove he's a crap manager.

I hope we can grab sommat but I think it'll be 2-0 to everton with Saha scoring as always.

  6. Well your keeper kit is, erm, different!! The black/grey version isn't too bad, not the green one though.

Least you've got yours out, we've not even seen a sneak peak of ours because we still ain't got a sponsor

  7. Id prefer to get Bentley to play on the right if possible altho hes only on loan at Brum.

Bentley is an excellent player if he wants to be - he can create chances out of nothing and has excellent delivery - unfortunately he is a pratt.

For me him leaving Rovers for Spurs was one of the worst transfers for both parties I can remember. We lost our main attacking midfielder and never replaced him, whilst he turned out to be a complete flop at Spurs.

  8. Its obvious we will probably looking in the bargain basement again this summer so who should we be looking at?

    Some options:

Junior Hoilett-(Blackburn) out of contract in summer, fast, tricky player who can operate across the midfield or just off the front man.

Nikola Kalinic - ( Blackburn) Highly rated croatian forward, only 23 but seems to be out of favour for some reason. Bilic was recently interviewed stating what a top class striker he is. I think he is top drawer.

Junior - I think he's a very good player in the making. He has lots of pace which is something no other Rovers player has and has recently developed some kind of end product, but that isn't really there yet. Also, the softest player I have ever seen! But for us I think we need him to be fit to give us a fighting chance of staying up. He's actually been at Rovers since he was 11 so is classed as 'home-grown', but he played his early games over in St. Pauli because he couldn't get a work permit when he turned 18. I do hope we can keep him, but he is faffing over his contract again.

Kalinic - jury is still very much out. Nearly two years now in the PL with not much return. It's a strange one with Niko, you can see he's got something about it, but it's just not happening. He isn't a target man at all, so needs to play with someone. Not helped this season really by Kean - he'd got a few games under his belt, got 4 goals in 6 games (which for us isn't bad!) then Kean dropped him after Villa in the cup. For all his faults, he's better than starting a game with just Jason Roberts up front

  9. Steve Kean?

If he said that he's a fucking clown. We started the half well and then the half was pretty poor with neither side realy doing anything IMO.

Just be grateful he's not your manager :( Just embarrassing!

For the first time I can remember I had a seat at Goodison where I could see but given our performance a brick wall would have been preferable. Probably one of the easiest games you'll have had this year - although I don't think you were that great you were easily good enough to beat us. In the first half I thought Rochina looked ok on his debut, but we cannot be relying on him to be our hope for the season. The move that typified us was probably when Dunn took a corner and 5 seconds later it got passed to Robbo. Then as soon as the goal come in the 2nd half it was game over.

Anyway I took this photo of the pen - not good for us, but quite nice for you.

  10. bill loves the club but that isn't enough..i wouldn't want us in the hands of the type that own city because it's just a play thing to them and they have no passion about the club..there is a split opinion of kenwright and some even go as far to say he pockets some of the money which i find ridiculous..i'm convinced he wants the best for the club and will sell only to the right person..the problem is will that person ever come along? [/b]

And that is the big problem, do these people exist anymore? I'm not sure. Under the Trust we were just plodding along really, but they wanted to sell and we did need some money in. Venkys were supposedly the best of the options and well so far it's pretty much been a disaster. Through her own admission Mrs Desai had never watched a game of football before, but yet she saw fit to sack Sam and replace him with Kean who noone had ever heard of because he is a positive thinker, John Williams our chairman has 'resigned', they are happy with our progress and all the while Balaji Rao still reckons we're going to sign Ronaldinho or Maradona. I cringe every time I hear the words 'Blackburn Rovers owners Venkys have said.....' on sky sports news :(

  11. Hi, I volunteered myself to do the match preview at brfcs.com for the Everton about two months ago. I forgot all about it so now I'm trying to cobble something together!! If anyone could be so kind to answer the questions below it would be much appreciated!

    - So now the season is nearly over, how do you think it has gone?

    - Who have been your best players?

    - And your worst?

    - What changes would you like to see for next season?

    - I've heard some rumours that Everton have got money troubles, what's going on?

    - How much longer do you think that Moyes will stay at Everton and if he does go who would you like to replace him?

    - What do you think about Rovers this season?

    - What line up can we expect?

    - Are there any Rovers player you are worried about (lol)?

    - Score prediction?

As for the game, I can't say that I'm that confident - nearly three months without a win now and a bunch of clowns in charge :(

    But you never know.....

    Thanks,

    C
