  1. Sorry pal I won't have anything to do with people from Havefordwest!!!!

Seriously, yeah it's a bit if pain, more so for you as your a bit further away again, my main problem is I work most Saturdays, and Sunday games are a very far and few between, (plus she'd moan about not spending time together, don't know why she wants to do that!!) but yeah, we r planing the Blackburn game in the 21st of jan, got another mate from town who might come, I'll let you know if we r defiantly going nearer the time. Or remind me as I do forget!

Mogsy, if convenient, I can fit a few in and i'm used to the driving.. can't do the 21st though, on nights (as always!)

  2. I dont know if I speak for Mogsy and Jona but, it's difficult to get to a lot of home games from here, perhaps we could work on that?.. This forum is very important for me, makes me feel a little closer to home, to the club I love.. I have noticed over the past weeks how on others such as TW the language and attitude toward DM has been disgusting.. I agree with a lot of whats been said on here regarding club and manager, however, I do feel we should be encouraging Moyes not kicking him when down. This forum tends to be balanced and intelligent.

  3. Think its a bit unfair to say drenthe has done nothing. we've had tough games which any other than the usual three teams would struggle with. We were better in the derby before jack was sent off.. Have found some of the comments posted elsewhere regarding Faddy a bit sad.. The season we sold him he shined in europe. wonder what would have happened with fiorentina if we'd kept him a bit longer.. We paid 1.25m, sold him for 5m and he's back for free.. No one had a go at peter reid for his lack of pace or teddy sherringham..

  4. Would i be right in thinking a player worth £10m being paid £60k per week is actually worth £7m when offsetting wages in year one?. If he doesn't play and his value inevitably falls he's actually worth £1m in year four??..Arguably then the Arteta sale assisted the club to the tune of £13.25m?.. If I'm being thick lads please let me know!

  5. There's what? 3000+ minutes in a season?, So point well made Av. I think the 3 injury theory is realistic too. I was under the impression Distin was recruited to cover the fullback role, a natural replacement for Lescott? DM giving that as the reason for not buying a younger defender.. Drenthe can also cover as full back. Personally, i'm hoping he does well as he's on a free in Jan.

  6. As said previously, I think player wise, maybe not dynamic but still believe we're competitive. I know Denis is unknown and Drenthe gets mentally irregular, but we know what the other lads offer. On the whole, the lack of expectation may help relieve some pressure. Past few years 7th/8th has been seen in some quarters as failure and the playing style has reflected that, knocked confidence and play has lacked belief. If they're not expected to perform they might just show us something?.. The reverse logic theory. Dunno..

Down here all everyone talked about was Cardiff being promoted, some of us said no because of expectation being too great but Swansea? we thought had a good chance as no one gave a crap about them.

Love the forum lads, nice one.

  7. Lads, your there i'm not. Most of you, Hafnia, Avinalaff, Marcopolo et al are all of sound mind, intelligent and post quality comments... what is Prentice about? is there any press article from him which isn't written by the club?... Where has the cash or the ability to raise any disapeared to? I mean, there is no income left, none, but Kenwright is putting shows on up and down the country?... I'm get the feeling now pitch matters are becoming secondary to survival matters, is this true?.. Too many anonymous members (pax) for one are too quick to jump down Haffs throat when he has raised legitimate concerns...Very confused...Don't these people understand that EFC is an intrisic part of our lives, a member of the family, I'm 4th generation blue. My grandad was at the '33 final etc, most of you can say the same i'm sure, been there, seen it, done it all in royal blue... Some proper investigative journalism is whats required, not a local hack who couldn't make it on a national trying to placate fans who clearly know better than himself.. This has been posted in the wrong area probably, for that sorry..

  8. Blueherts.. very much agree.. Stop with this Sven reject shit, Sven the guy who buggered England then Ulrika, Sven who signed a contract with blackburn then failed to turn up. Sven who can only manage to get a job in the championship.. Leicester? jesus!! get a grip!!

Man City with their cash, think we beat them twice?.. Suprised we don't all drown at Goodison with all the crying... Stoke will implode, they can't sustain the investment, like kids in a sweetshop. Spurs?mmm. Harry never follows thru.. We have good defenders, midfielders and an unknown striker who will scare defenders to death for a season, which is all he's here for anyway, not to mention natural width and mobility on both flanks.. Play Bily like the Ivans do and we'll see a difference.. I don't particularly like Moyes' tactics or style of play. BUT he's a genuine football manager not a shopaholic..

  9. Thing is, I think we'll be ok. Drenthe is a threat , quick, strong and mobile and will drift naturally left rather than cut in. He and Baines will be effective.. Traca will scare the shit out of the oh so pretty central defenders. Him AND Fellaini ?? I wouldn't want to face them.. We have strength and mobility.. Come on people, they have a week to settle before Villa..We where 1 dimensional in terms of playmaking with Arteta. Let him enjoy his last big move..... I'm getting excited!!!jump for joy.gif

  10. Hang on, we where all on here a month ago saying if a high profile player was to leave let it be Arteta as we have a decent midfield if Rodwell et al step up?..

This will be upsetting but Avinalaff, your right. Moyes doesn't have to do a thing, no one expects us to do anything, consensus of opinion is that we will be crap now.

Pulis is ambitious, as is Lambert and the lad at Swansea. Moyes is safe.. Tactically he hasn't learnt.. Remember Villa? back from 2 down then reverts to type and we lose.

Man U 3 down at half time? back to 3 3 then reverts to type we lose.. I could go on, you guys know.. we play not to lose, we don't play to win.. And he's probably getting to the stage when he's thinking whats the point... I don't like his style of play or his tactics, but Kendall was boring too.. He's realistic and sensible, would be a great chairman, thats the reason i'm confident we'll survive

Sorry if i've pissed a few off!!

  11. Have to agree with Hafnia. It's all relative. When it was £3.50 to get in Cottee was 2.5m. It's ten times that now and we don't have ten times the capacity.

I thought Rooney was 27m over 3 years? which helped finance our growth.. Are we still paying for Fellaini, Yakubu and Bily?.. Are Man City still paying for Lescott, Fulham for Johnson?.. Seems regardless of a clubs prosperity, they all pay on the drip..

We saw what the stupid Spaniard did across the park. That nearly killed them. Yeah we hate them but work would be boring without them!.. Point is, they haven't learnt their lesson, doing it all over again. 35m for an unproven striker just hikes every players price up. What did Ba want? £80k a week 4 million a season!

Blackpool have a 10k a week wage cap 1/2 a million a year, umbrella payments to the tune of 48m over 4 years, they still had to sell..

I think transfer fees are becoming secondary to wage demands, thats what is sucking the money, thats what we are struggling with. No point finding 10m for say Nzogbia if we can't pay him is 2.5m a year.
