Ahh yes, I didn't even consider the West Coast. Yes, it's even worse for you guys.
The same for us here in Australia - a 7.45pm kick off can mean 3.45am our time.
-
Roberto and the players have a great base with things to improve on.
One of these things has to be corners. By and large our corners are shocking and you can count on the fingers of one hand the number of goals we've scored from corners in the past few seasons. Our attacking play means we often get 10+ in a match, how often do you see us go close from one?
-
Have they run out of more now? A recent tweet says strong sales have led to availability issues. Were they not expecting to make any sales?! Why can't we have competent people looking after these things?

try epsteins guest house anfield rd liverpool apparently you can see evertons ground from the room 5minutes walk....the rumour is brian epstein of the beatles fame spent some time living there in his younger days.
although its anfield rd its stanley park end which seperates both grounds.
good luck prices are about 33 pounds a night...you can pull it up on your iphone/computer.
@Rubecola - thanks for the suggestion - I'll be sure to say hi.
@Patto - Epstein's looks perfect but it seems to be booked out that night :-(

Thanks lads. I'm thinking about this place.
I'm only in town for a day and will meet up with a workmate from Southport so won't be lonely. The Banjo looks close.

What MikeO has linked above is ok, it's 2.7 miles from Goodison too but it's a straight road.
There are some nice B&Bs near Sefton Park but that's Aigburth and slightly further away from Goodison (six miles or so).
Mike (better known as Mick here?) Lyons is the head coach of Sterling Lions isn't he ?
Yeah, he was. Now not doing much.
He came into work the other day for a coffee. Another mate was interviewing him - we work for the newspaper.
Sorry - calling him Mike has become a habit. A few years ago he told us he really hated 'Mick' because he thinks it sounds like a dog food.
I'm also looking at the Premier Inn - Queens Drive, West Derby. How long a walk is that?

Pretty much any hotel in Liverpool city centre will do. It's 2/3 miles away and costs about £5 in a taxi.
Unfortunately they're around £50-70 per night.

Thanks Louis and Mike O
So there aren't any B&Bs close by anyone would recommend?
Mike Lyons lives out here - he's going to try to get me over to Finch Farm.
Also, where in the ground should I sit to get the best experience?

Hi lads,
I know this probably gets asked all the time but I can't find a relevant thread so here goes.
I live in Perth, Western Australia and will be visiting family in Belfast then making the pilgrimage to Goodison for a ground tour and the match v Villa on April 2. Can anyone suggest somewhere reasonably priced but close to Goodison I can stay on April 1? Apparently The Winslow Hotel doesn't have rooms.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I thought Fellaini did well.
I'm gutted but very proud. I can't believe some are questioning that our players gave their all.
-
Louis, sadly I think we stand alone on 8. Newcastle are on 7.
-
I genuinely believe that he will adapt and this time time next year we will singing the praises of the Mo Fellaini. I'm not looking forward to Man Utd but sometimes in the face of adversity you can get the result you need. I think a few wins are imminent.
I hope so - on all of the above.
-
It seems he picked up a dead leg just before the end of the first half.
-
Some good signs tonight but plenty of extremely frustrating parts. The guy is lumbering but did get into effective space at times and tried to push through as he fought for the ball. However, when we don't have the ball, he is a liability, slow to get back, rarely puts a foot in, looks like he's running underwater and may as well not be on the pitch when we are defending.
-
I thought Fellaini was merely average tonight and diabolical when we didn't have the ball.
Jags for me.
-
lol nope I am across the pond.
Neville's positioning is good, his heart's in the right place but his passing, by and large, is shite.
-
Gotta agree. Carsley breaks so much up and his distribution ain't bad. I just wish he was a few years younger.
-
Stewart Downing, anyone?
-
Nah, I'm not having that Louis, we lost because we did'nt play well enough. No point in looking for any lame excuses.
100% right. We just weren't good enough. They did enough to score.
Some bad foul by both sides although they got away with more and we got bookings that shouldn't have been.
The Yak should've been ashamed of himself for that dive it was just crap and not a fitting action in that shirt.
-
Arteta is not consistent. He's too casual at times.

trying to calm down by watching boring Chelski v Boring Boro

It's getting to that stage where the tummy tightens up and the pacing begins.
How's everyone else feeling?
Where are you all watching it?
I'll be home in Perth, Western Australia (home to Mike Lyons) with Cahill 17 shirt on and beanie and scarf. Mum and Dad on either side.
It'll be 11pm here.

Lads, poor journalists write opinion pieces.
-
and British players usually cost more than their foreign equivalents, too.
-
Have they ever been any good?
Fair point, well made.
Corners
in General Everton Discussion

That may be so but there are plenty of instances of our corners not beating the first man (it's not just us). Let's improve on that for a start and you never know what could happen!
