  1. By the way Eddie you need a great big serving of humble pie. "not a cat in hells chance" if I remember the phrase correctly!

Never in doubt that we could have turned them over as we did last night.

You should stay at home eddie get yourself an armchair cant be doing with supporters like you!

Last night was the real everton fans. Unbelievable atmosphere so so so proud.

    Bring on the shite!

    We are the famous EFC!

Ha I'll quite happily eat my words this morning blueboy, I didn't think we'd turn up because let's be honest, we never have for big away games!

As for being armchair!....don't be daft now, I've been to about 50 odd grounds with everton and have had a season ticket since 95/96 (barring one season when I was working abroad). The fact that I haven't been happy at all this season yet still forked out nearly £600 for next years ticket means everton DO need supporters like me...the ones who don't just sack it when things aren't good. I might be a moaning so and so at times but rightly so at some of the performances put in this season, I still go the game regardless.

Glad you enjoyed last night but it doesn't make you fan of the year kid!

Anyway we've got fucking no chance against Liverpool ;-).

  2. Well it'll just be another thing to get upset or angry about, so no change there.

It's just that not everybody lives in the Merseyside vicinity, do the people who issue these things not realize that, and consequently are unable to attend on a regular basis, everybody should be entitled to a place at wembley with enough allocation. Those who go to Goodison regular and those who are unable, but still support the club, I think it's unfair but do understand the 'regular attendees loyalty' aspect of it, Yes that's all very well and good but I can't help but feel disappointed.

It should be like with Wrestlemania, where tickets go on sale and it's first come first serve, but they get all snapped up in five minutes flat, but it's merely a comparison. In any event I'll try anyway to see what can be done, I would feel bad about missing out on the day.

I'm sorry mate but that's absolutely outrageous, 'first come first serve'! First and foremost priority should be given to those who've attended most/all games (with season ticket), then sold all the way down to just season ticket holders like myself. If there's still some left then it'd be regular ticket buyers, why? Because that's fair, no arguments. To say people should get tickets first come first serve in order to accommodate your own situation isn't exactly fair now is it? You'd end up with nobheads who haven't been for years, nobheads who haven't been at all but want to jump on the bandwagon and worse of all red shite snapping up tickets that rightly belong to the people who've spent thousands on following everton this season.

I, like you (I assume) work away from Liverpool, so say tickets go on sale Monday when I'm not home and are sold out by Thursday, I'm then without a wembley ticket even though I'm a season ticket holder. That's not right!

If you really want to go then do what I did 09, bunk in! Failing that buy a ticket outside...there are many ways to get a ticket without changing a system that's fair and works. If you are that desperate to get in you'll find a way!

  3.

About as good as can be expected. Hopefully we play with the same intensity as Saturday!

It's looking increasingly likely those drenthe rumours had an element of truth to them. Team isn't bad although I'd prefer hibbert against mcclean rather than Neville and I wouldn't waste a place on the bench with mcfaddon...he wasn't good enough 5 years ago never mind now! I'm afraid to say I still think we'll get beat because moyes will shit out...sorry to be negative but that's just how I feel.

  4. hey guys does anyone know of any pubs evertonians are meeting in before the match in sunderland today? we're two 24 year old girls travelling up and just want to make sure we dont end up in the wrong place in the wrong shirt. sorry if ive posted this in the wrong place! COYB!

Nicki love....why not save all the fuss and danger of travelling and you and your friend can come and enjoy the match round my house ;-). I've got a real big one....(telly that is) and the freezer is stocked to the hilts with asda's finest extra spicy chicken curry microwave meals!

What the hell I'll even push the boat out and treat you two lovely ladies to a 6 pack of panda pops and a fab. Now i know what you're thinking, this guy really knows how to treat a lady...and you're right. Nobody knows how to party like big eddie.

Now just let us know if you're up for it and I'll give you the details of the nearest bus route...see you later yeah ;-). Xxx

  5.

I've told him, so i'll tell you too Eddie.

No need for the offensive, blueboy was offensive, and said sorry. Leave it at that. Discuss your opinions all day long, there is no need for name calling.

    Play nice.

I just quoted him mate...wouldn't lower myself to Internet name calling ;-) xxx.

  6.

I agree with all of your statments however your saying we have no chance in hell of beating Sunderland away from home due to us not beating them this season? And I am the one thats told to get real? Fuck off you bellend and grow up we have every chance of beating them. Stay ay home and wait in anticipation do you for when the final goes when we lose so you can come on here and have a right good moan. I will be travelling upto the Nou Camp to see Xavi, Messi, Villa, Pique play... O no sorry my mistake its fucking Lee Catermole, Sessegnon, Bendtner and Micheal Turner. Staying at home moaning murtle!!

    Come on you blues.

Oh dear 'bellend'! Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

If you agree with all my statements then you'll understand why I don't believe we'll go up there and get a win.

No I base my opinion on the fact that we pretty much always fail to show up for big away games like i said. History proves that. I mentioned the two meetings this season as a point on how difficult it's going to be there...they don't have to be Barcelona to beat us do they? We've failed to beat plenty of shit sides this season and over the years due to poor management. I'd say the majority of this board would agree with me.

I'm well within my rights to have a moan especially after this week because I'm sick of us being below par when we need to be on our game. I thought we were going to go through on Saturday but yet again we played to the oppositions strengths instead of our own.

I'm fed up of walking out the ground feeling like I've just caught purple aki in bed with my bird. If you want to sit there and pretend everything's fine and that we'll go there and put in a performance then crack on, nothing will change though. Moyes needs to know that settling for second best is not good enough for this club. All these punters and journalists kissing his arse about the last 10 years is doing this club no favours at all. Since when was it acceptable for an everton manager to think getting anywhere close to a final would be an achievement? Well it's NOT, it's small time it's negative and I've had enough.

  7.

If you think we haven't got a hope in hells chance of beating Sunderland at there place then your a moron. Its Sunderland at the Stadium of Light not Barcelona at the Nou Camp

Moron, really? We've played Sunderland twice this season now and have failed to beat them. We were very fortunate to get a point in the league game thanks to an outrageous penalty decision given in our favour.

More so our record in big away games under moyes is shocking. He hasn't won a league game at Liverpool, utd, arsenal, Chelsea in 10 years of trying. The fact that it's must win means we'll be negative and try and nick a goal because that's what we always do! That's plan A, when that doesn't work we'll stick with plan A because there's no plan B. I know this because we've had 10 fucking years of it now and there's no sign of any improvement. Last weeks results prove it.

As for it being the stadium of light and not the nou camp I'm well aware of the fact sunderland are mediocre at best. That's what frustrates me so much because we should beat them, but we won't. Just like we failed to beat a shit QPR at loftus road (not the nou camp), villa park (not the nou camp), Wigan (not the nou camp) and completely surrendered against Chelsea, Liverpool, spurs, arsenal and city.

We had our chance to beat them Saturday but shit out again so get real.

  8. Worst possible draw. I don't want to think about how sick I'd feel losing to them at Wembley, for the third time this season. Almost hope we bottle it at the Stadium of Light :/

I wouldn't worry about it mate, we haven't got a hope in hell's chance of beating sunderland. It'll be the usual moyes display that we've come to accept in the big games. For some reason the players are never up for it when they need to be the most....this week has been a perfect example.

  9. Well that just sums it up, he doesn't give a fuck about what we think and that's why we're not going to win at anfield, old Trafford, Chelsea, tottenham, eastlands or the emirates for the remainder of his everton career. He knew that team was going to be shite on Tuesday but hey, we always get beat there so who cares! No lessons learnt from the previous 11 anfield derbies.

Small time thinking will get you small time results. I really hope we progress in the cup but even if we do get to the final against a decent side you know what's coming...another Chelsea 09 esq performance.

He goes on about luck! I hope he wasn't referring to Tuesday because we got what we deserved with that selection and performance. I hope our next manager recognises who Everton are and doesn't just go by the prem years underachievement (for a club with our history) to justify medeocracy. I've had enough of it.

Top 7 an achievement!? Fuck off!

  10. I still feel sick after that spineless, embarrassing NON display on Tuesday. 90% of the blame goes to moyes, once again gifting a dog shit Liverpool side the 3 points and 10% to those players who couldn't be arsed putting their heart or effort into our second biggest game of the season. Their wages should've gone to charity after that cowardly effort along with an apology from moyes.

Now that's done I'd like to ask the crying cunts on here/match go-ers if you're happy you got the 4-4-2 you've constantly been whinging for!? Not defending moyes at all but the only reason he's suddenly decided to pull that out of his arse had to be down to constant criticism for going 4-5-1. We can't play 4-4-2, Tuesday proved that along with every other shit display everton have turned in under moyes using that formation. Of course that wasn't the only catalyst for the defeat but we would've been solid atleast.

To end my rant I'd like to say rodwell is the most overrated player I've ever seen. If any of the 'big clubs' are willing to pay more than 10m then they can fucking have him.

  11. How did Rodwell play?

I have always been routing for Mucha because what I have seen (except the FA cup) he did really well and I always felt he should be given a chance ahead of Howard for a bit. He is younger :D

To be honest the only time I've seen him was in the league cup and he was shit. Let a clanger in against chelsea that bounced off his head if I remember correctly so i wouldnt be putting him in in place of howard in a hurry. We've certainly had better on the bench.

  12. with our best team out we shouldnt fear them,i would like to end their champ lge dreams.

The same could be said for the past 5-6 years but we just don't seem to turn up against them...we never seem to have a game plan and resort to long balls to a lone striker. I'm not expecting any different this season I'm afraid! Score draw at best.

  13.

I thought we were talking about the cuphuh.png(I was anyway....it was kind of my point) .

Everton v Blackpool...37,384 (about 4,000 empty seats....the vast majority restricted views in our ageing stadium).

Sunderland v Arsenal...26,042 (about 23,000 empty seats....not too many resticted views in a stadium as new as the stadium of light presumably).

We had 38384 on Saturday. The game was sold out by 1pm...the 1800 empty seats came from the Blackpool end + segregation.

As for the game I think we'll nick it 2-1. They've been impressive under o'neill and have plenty of pace upfront, can't see us twatting them I'm afraid!

I hope we don't get the early Sunday kickoff, anything else I'd be happy with.

  14.

Half empty ground against a top team with the winner being a game away from Wembley?

Don't think I'm being unfair at all.

I agree it was shite. Taking their form into account I was very surprised to see such a poor turnout, regardless of ticket price. I was impressed arsenal brought as many as they did, fair play to them.

  15.

Unlikely to sell out I'd have thought, the tickets will certainly go on general sale at some point.

Won't get moved for Sky because they have no FA Cup rights but ITV and ESPN will piss around with the schedule.

    Helpfully, the FA site confirms...

"Ties to be played over the weekend of 17 March. Match may be scheduled for the Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday."

I think it'll sell out or come very close. Sunderland will bring 6000 and there's a good chance of progressing so people will be up for it. If anything you'll get people wanting to go in order to get a better chance of qualifying for wembley tickets....if we get there.

Can anyone remember how many tickets could be purchased per season ticket for 09's semi's?

  16. Agree with MikeO. Gone for Drenthe. Would have been Felliani if it wasnt for his 3-4 misses, but he still had a good game.

Felliani wants fucking shooting for missing them 3 chances in the second half! Had a great game though. Distin was solid again, howard done well when called upon but drenthe gets it for me...they couldn't get near him.

I'm disappointed how a couple of other players struggled today though. Gibson still gets the benefit for me as he just isn't match fit but that gueye's shite, what is it with our wide players showing for the ball inside!? Neville's clearly past it too I'm afraid.

Solid display all in all, should have been 6 really.

  17.

Are you taking the piss. ?? its the easiest job on a car.

Oh and by the way, sharps volley was fishing and you took the bait.biggrin.pngdidn't you notice the angler, he got you hook line and sinker,

Oh dear bill and zoo...can't believe I got two of you! Tut tut.

It makes me feel slightly better about not knowing how to change spark plugs! I'm afraid I wasn't taking the piss no...so it's a manual job then? What safety equipment would you advise I wear?

  18. I think Blackpool will score, they've been bagging loads lately. We'll just have to score more than them. 4-2 us.

    Saha with 4 again fishing.gif

Erm Saha doesn't play for us mate...we sold home to spurs! Duh!

Draw tomorrow, with us missing pinaar and possibly Donovan we're not going to have much bite! Plus blackpool are on top form.

On a different note how hard is it to change spark plugs? Would it be best to summon a professional?

  19. I think it's related to his Man Utd connection

I can't see why tamworth would have any negative feelings towards anything utd related to be honest bluesky. I don't really have a problem with utd as club myself and I'm a scouser! (fans are utter pricks though). Bolton hate utd so naturally they'd boo any ex player.

As for Gary Neville I'm with you mate. I hated the little shit with a passion in his playing days especially after he kicked a ball at someone in the family enclosure during a stoppage BUT he comes across well as a pundit and doesn't show any bias which is more than I can say for some other sky pundits...mr Thompson! Has anyone else seen him try and play down the Suarez incident!? Embarrassing!

  20. It just striked me as strange given the opposition today

I had Tamworth fans down as nice guys or wouldn't say boo to a goose types etc happy.png

I would have myself to be honest but bearing in mind it was probably the biggest game in their history you'd expect SOME of them to get a bit over excited.

I expect the Neville booing to be linked to his England days...they have no other reason.

  21. I just read on the opposition page that a small number of away supporters today giving Neville abuse and some derogatory remarks towards home fans and all said, causing a bit of a scene. I can't read much into this, I wasn't there today,no team support is the epitome of goodness but this sounds a bit far fetched to me, anyone else heard anything similar.

To be fair mate so what! It's not a tennis match and goodison is at it's best when it's nasty. With regards to neville...I've heard Neville get more abuse from our fans than any away following this year, it was probably a welcome change for him.

  22. 27,000 give or take

I don't know much about the game, had to make do with some sporadic commentary and updates etc

No-one seems to have a definite man of the match today so I'll go along with that unsure.png

Not bad, I didn't think it'd break 20,000 today. I'm glad I didn't bother, sounded like another shit performance and I've had enough of watching so called professionals fail to do the basics this season. I take it Saha was up to his usual tricks?

*just realised the lazy bastard didn't play.

  23. No doubt you will have the best away following at goodison this year Alex, I hope you all enjoy it. It's just a shame the ground's going to be half empty! I've got a funny feeling tamworth will leave with some sort of result tomorrow...saying that the standard of football we're playing can't be far off blue square premier standards anyway!
