  1. Hi, Palace fan in peace. As you may or may not know, the football league clubs recently voted in the EPPP that changes the way academies will be run starting next year. However, 22 clubs voted against it and many other clubs have come out and said they only voted for it because they were blackmailed. This not only threatens the future of football league clubs, but also those in the Premier League trying to run football clubs within their means and thriving with good academies. In context, this plan only benefits the big 4 or so teams that will soon be able to take any player from any club at the age of 16 for £130,000. There is some more information here: http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/15381652.stm A petition has been started and there are many campaigns around various clubs to raise awareness about the devastating effects the EPPP is likely to have on English football. One of our recent protests: http://img832.images...athnotoeppp.jpg We are not against everything in the EPPP, we just wish that certain parts are reconsidered to make it fairer for all clubs. We call on true football fans that are against the power that the top teams suddenly have to do their part and sign this petition. If we get enough signatures it HAS to be debated in parliament. http://epetitions.di...petitions/21314 On our own we can do nothing but if we join together we may be able to protect academies and English football.
