sorry steve i disagree with all of that. the long passes were shit. Jags has been watching to many david unsworth dvds! when the ball is played into his feet he holds it up well, he wins the ball back and his movement is fantastic. he is in a simular mold to berbatov i think. him with felli just behind him looked really dangerous today to.

 

I'm a bit disappointed with Jelavic. I don't think he's been that good in any of his games so far actually. The first opportunity he got he really should have buried, it was the type of chance I thought he would be finishing coolly as well. Other than that, I think Gibson should be allowed more freedom to roam forward, especially if there's another player (Neville) playing in front of the defense as well.

Really?? i was at the game today and my and my dad both agreed he is different class. He has a fantastic touch, and yes he missed that effort, but scored just after. His running was great, it takes alot to make him go down and i think he is going to be an awesome signing.

I went for peanuts, ran his socks off today but would gladly give it to the whole team, you could see what moyes was doing and he got his tactics spot on today.

agreed 100%. Ossie seems to have matured over the past 6 months. Not in the same mould as arteta when he was in his prime, but better than him over the past 2 years. Just wished he could finish better.

i think sturridge could make a fantastic different to our club. Big, strong, pacy and can finish. Him and Beckford could form a great partnership with saha coming off the bench.

to me its what makes me matt. I love the colour blue, and HATE anything red. i own very few items in the house that are red, and not a single item of clothing. Its being able to say my team are an honest team and dont cheat. its being able to smile at Man City spending 100 millions of pounds knowing that we are producing a better player in our youth academy. Its the goose bumps i get thinking of Stuart and Horne keeping us in the prem when we beat the dons 3-2 on the final day of the season. Its the thrill i get watching Rideout diving header against man utd in the 28th minute against Utd in the 95 cup final. Then there was Duncans header against liverpool for his first goal, Rooneys first against arsenal, peter beagries back flip, but probably its the moment i met big nev when i was 12 and had a picture of us with his massive arm around me! thats the things what everton means to me. LIFE. (my boy had his first everton kit aged 1day!)

Why would we need to replace him at all? What is the point in bringing these young defenders in, developing them, and then never blooding him?

 

Play Heitinga with Distin and start blooding a youngster, and spend the money on the left wing and/or a striker. Where we actually need it. There's no point selling a defender and buying another defender when we need to sell to buy in areas that need improving.
