Anyone looking for an amazing atmosphere to drink in before the game? Come to Yates Southampton tomorrow! We are the official away pub for all the Saints games!
We are on the walk from the train station to the stadium, just walk up the hill, and when you get to Sprinkles Gelato, turn right and a few doors down you will find the best pre match drinking pub in Southampton!
We open from 9am, so we will see you tomorrow!

May I suggest The Waterfront on William Street as an alternative, that's a short distance from the Saint Mary's stadia or The Admiral Lucius down in the ocean village, that while a greater distance than the other, is highly recommended.

 

The Standing Order Bar (off High Street) is another establishment to explore, but in general, there's not an awful lot of drinking outlets in the immediate vicinity of the ground.

 

As an alternative, instead of spending the pre-match time with alcohol intake, take the opportunity to look around the city and take in sights such as the Titanic memorial, Millais Gallery or the vibrancy and sights of the ports and harbor if you can find time.
