Louis
Feyenoord are planning a re-think for this summer.. They currently have 63 players contracted but are hoping to get it down to 28 this summer. They are imposing these rules on themselves. - Non-EU players older then 21 have to receive a minimum salary of 342.000 euros/year. - An average first team player at Feyenoord has a yearly wage between 300.000 and 500.000 euros. - Only a few top players (Dirk Kuyt, Shinji Ono), who have both been sold, and Danko Lazovic, who never lived up to the expectations at Feyenoord, had a higher salary then 500.000 euros. - Players from Feyenoords youth setup have a yearly salary between 20.000 and 30.000 euros, with a few exceptions, who receive 60.000 euros/year. - Non-EU players below the age of 21 have to receive a minimum salary of 171.000 euros/year. I thought that Dutch footballers were on more than that to be honest.
