  1. rafa is hardly a fantastic manager is he? Depends how you judge your managers, I suppose. If you consider; La Liga La Liga UEFA Cup European Cup FA Cup Super Cup Loads of other finals as poor, then yeah. He's shit. If you start talking about money and the title, we've been 3rd the last two season, both the teams above us have spent more money... You're not the brightest spark.
  2. I didn't say you did say Yakubu was better, you did infer it, that's why I asked you the question ( this is a question mark ' ? ' ). Home truths... yeah, alright.
  3. So what you're saying is; Yakubu is as good as Torres? As for your point about facing Chelsea or United without Torres and Gerrard, of course we're going to be weaker. Just like chelsea will be weaker if they leave out Lampard and Drogba or United leave out Ronaldo and Rooney. As I said... Worst. Poster. Ever.
  4. Well both Torres and Rafa have publicly said so, I guess you know more about Torres than Torres though.
  5. I'd sooner be lucky (and it takes a lot of luck to beat so many of Europe's top clubs so consistently, both home and away) with European Cup's in the cabinet than the ones dismissing 2 European cup finals in 3 seasons (with the possibility of a 3rd in 4 seasons) as lucky. I've got nothing to be bitter about.
  6. Another myth that is quite easily dispelled, I'm afraid. We had roughly the same net expenditure last season as we have had the past couple. We recouped a lot, reached the European Cup final (prize money is quite large) and had a massive increase in TV revenue (across the who league). So we would have been able to buy these players anyway. If DIC get in, then the spending will start and you can start moaning
  7. Despite my posts being non insulting, despite me being complementary to all but the most idiotic of poster and despite my positing once in a blue moon, I still have to have all my posts moderated - lack of free speech doesn't endear me to the cause, no I don't have any problem with you Licker, I think you're a fine guy. Just have a bit of a problem not having some completely reasonable posts not showing up.
  8. You are, by far, the worst poster I've ever seen on any website since I started using the internet. I've no problem with Everton, or the fans of the football club but you do a massive discredit to Everton. A proud football club who has fans that know about the game, you're not one of them. Just a cup? It's the biggest prize in club football. 70% of fans? we rallied in our thousands to back him... You're a sorry excuse for an Evertonian. (I know the mod won't post this, in an Orwellian place like this, I'd not expect it to be allowed - but I'm writing it anyway)
  9. Yep. It's all down to luck. 3 semi finals in 4 season, that's a hell of a lot of luck. Two finals in 3 seasons so far, that's a hell of a lot of luck. Results against Inter (champions elect), Juve (champions elect), Chelsea (cham...) x 2 Barcelona (reigning champs) , Arsenal, AC Milan (when they were at their peak) and a host of other teams, that's a hell of a lot of luck. I guess I'd prefer to be lucky than unlucky though.
  10. Clearly was a pen, as was Hlebs. Let's award Hleb a goal. Anyway, we win 5-4.
  11. I'm sorry, but those figures are wrong. They are just the ones from the paper a few weeks back that got emailed around. They have been dismissed by many reliable sources. Torres took a pay cut to come here and Gerrard is on slightly less than that. It's a known fact that ibra and kaka are the two highest paid players in the world.
  12. Thanks, I like him too. He's shown glimpses of real class (Derby goal, Marseille goal and Besiktas goal showed real class) mainly through the middle of the pitch. Like Henry, he's being played out wide to add to his game. He reminds me a lot of a young Henry, not that we can ever be sure he'll reach those type of heights.
  13. He wasn't punched in the back, I saw the incident and he wasn't touched. Rafa didn't call Everton a small club, either. I guess that doesn't matter to Ian. It's crazy that the club has made a statement over something a manager said in passing.
  14. Kuyt was nowhere near Neville though, he didn't even touch him. He was off the ground, but his feet where pulled right back. If he dived into him, it would have been a straight red but he didn't - far too much was made of that tackle from your side. I'm not saying I won't acknowledge Gerrard's alledged stamp, but I have to see it before I comment on it. If it's a stamp, i'll say it's a stamp but that doesn't take away from Carsley's leg breaker on Torres.
