  1. Yeah played better second half but main difference was the fact Hibbert was subbed by Neville wo can actually cross the ball into the box. Scoreline flatters us though.
  2. If we were 4-0 then yeah. But this team are BOTTOM of the Chanpionship. We ARE poor and have played poorly YET again.
  3. I don't like to say this but I think Moyes has done all he can at Everton. I have just listened to the first half of the Carling Cup tie at Sheffield and we are woefull. No ideas, no width and no goals. Jeffers is attacking the defence and we can't contain them. Yakubu is still absent and Osman and Hibbert, oh why is he in the team are very poor. Moyes pull your finger out drop the deadwood and get the team fired up.
  4. WOT!!! Planet Evercol NOT the place to visit.
  5. Well I think I did, wasn't VA the one player who came on, won headers, challenged for the ball, won a penalty and actually looked like he wanted to play for the team? Yak was slow, lazy and not interested in playing on a Thursday evening. As for Neville I think he should be at right-back and Carsley did OK. Not his best game but to be honest it wans't Everton's best match either.
  6. I think you're being too harsh on AJ. OK he hasn't scored yet, apart from the perfectly good penalty but the amount of work he does is second to none. He chased down players and sprang up all over the pitch. Yak on the other hand was downright awful. Can we take him back to Tyneside and demand a refund? I'm sure it's been less than 90 days as the product definately doesn't fill the needs!!
  7. Can anyone tell me why Yakubu is at Everton because it certainly isn't because he wants to play football!! He was more interested in the game watching from the bench after he was subbed than the whole time he was on the pitch. Victor came on and showed what the club means to him. I hope Yak realises this very soon as we may have bought another donkey. He was lasy, slow, uninterested. Bring back Beats, at least he battled for the ball. On another note, why does Moyes insist on playing Hibbert? He just doesn't cut the mustard. He was poor tonight. AJ was unlucky. Took a lot of balls to take the third penalty. Confidence is a factor for him now. The ref was a tosser and once again we have been robbed by a bad desicion. We looked out of ideas without Arteta and I fear that this spell in Europe will damage our results in the Prem. It's a shame that we once again have to rely on long balls pumped up to the front men, will someone please tell Moyes that Ferguson has retired. We are better than that and we need to start showing it. On a lighter side did anyone see that red-shite presenters face after the ad break after the match. He was beaming, just about summed up the entire evening. Ah well maybe we will win the away leg?
  8. Been away so catchin' up. Thank you to all Reds fans during the playing of Z-cars on Wednesday. You did Rhys' family, Everton and most of all Liverpool FC and Merseyside as a whole proud by your support. I was truly moved by it and I hold the Reds in a different light since this.
  9. Don't be so negative, we always struggle against lower league sides. Does Jeffers play for Weds now?
  10. Welcome back Tommy. You did the talking on the pitch today and I'm glad you're back where you belong.
  11. All our thoughts are with you Owen and your family. This is a fantastic idea and perhaps maybe Everton themselves could get involved in this and perhaps provide some ideas and help with deciding how to use the money collected to remember Rhys.
  12. To all those at Anfield, thank you and good luck in tonight's match. A real good gesture. I would like to think that Everton would do the same in a similar position. Hope the fans have the same feelings as the Liverpool officials. I'm sure thay will. Although I'm from North Wales this is a fantastic thing for the people of Liverpool and the parents of the poor little lad.
  13. Don't want him and don't need him. Simple as. Once a blue always a blue, Rooney? Bollocks
  14. True it i sad that he chose to play for a better club but isn't it better to have a player who will give 110% for the club and want to be there, Cahill, Osman, Yobe etc rather than just fill his bank account stay for a season or two then leave to a bigger club. I did like Fernandes but the whole ownership issue put me off.
  15. I have supported the blues all my life. My son is Everton mad and we go to Goodison when we can and when I can afford to take him. It is with both excitement and apprehension that I realise that the move to Kirby is going to happen. I think the ballot was a done deal. I can't believe a club in such a position as Everton can rely on fans say that a move is allowed or not. Everton DO need a new ground. Goodison Park is a tired, pale reminder of days gone by. Only one stand without pillars to restrict views and some poor viewing points at the back of the bullens and Glwadys Street. So a move to a brand new stadium is a good thing. Or is it? Some say that they will boycott the ground, where's the logic in that? If you are a supporter then you will travel to the ground and support your team. Some say that newer stadiums lack the atmosphere, to be honest, the last few games I have been to, there has been no atmosphere. It's very quiet around the ground. Wouldn't Everton supporters prefere a state of the art fully purpose 50,000 seater ground or would they rather remain at a tired looking and in need of major investment which will not increase the attendance and which is still old fashioned? The move will happen. Why should we be afraid, we've done it before. The only thing with the whole project at Kirby is the association with Tesco. A money making machine like Tesco do not enter things unless they know they can make money out of it. This worries me. At the end of this it's just my opinion which I wanted to share with eeryone else.
