I still had one but I gave it away to some kid at a school my mum worked at he was happy with it and to be honest after that season I got buyers remorse that shirt was fugly. My monitor can only display upto 1280 x 1024 so I would have to invest in a new monitor as well as a brand spanking new PC to enjoy silly resolutions. You can get 360 games for as little as 20£ most new games seem to only be around 39.99 online. I am not saying if I had a high paying job I wouldn't be tempted by an SLI rig but in my current position as dossy student a 360 makes more sense plus with a vga cable and a vga switcher box my pc and 360 will be in one place so I don't have to move much and it's almost like playing the games on the PC kind of....

I cant believe someone on this board is using SLI that is the biggest rip off ever when I built my current PC 3 years ago I spent 300 on a gfx card and thought it was a bit of a rip but SLI or Crossfire or whatever is just making the whole process stupid since your PC will just be average in 6 months that is why I decided to buy an Xbox 360.

Main requirement as Pat said is 64mb gfx card and I doubt your laptop has one, it might but half the time laptops have shitty integrated gfx so not much you can do about it.

What do you need 3ghz of DDR RAM for 2 I reckon is pushing it but 3 wtf for?

It's not exactly a beast I think you only need something like a processor over 2ghz and at least a 64mb gfx card.

Not sure if you need the hard drive to install this update tho. If you need that update you don't need to get xbox live either because you can write the update to a cd using your pc and then put the disk in your 360.

If I hadn't just spent 369.99 on a 360 that would be tempting. However I also saw Table Tennis for 14.99 on play.com and bought that. Plus I haven't finished a splinter cell game since the first one, thought pandora tomorrow was a bit naff, liked chaos theory but got bored ho hum.

That is the core console it doesn't have a hard drive, best price I found and where I ordered mine was play.com for 360 premium console with gears of war for 269.99. If you buy the hard drive on it's own it's about 65£ so is up to you but you need the hard drive in certain situations such as footie manager you can't play that without a hard drive.

Don't think my usb modem has an ethernet slot but researched it and can plug it to my pc so should be no hasle cheers anyway.

Hey guys, I decided to cancel my order for a wii since an xbox 360 wasn't much more expensive and I can connect a 360 to my PC monitor pretty easily. Anyway was just wondering if anyone who has an xbox 360 can help me, I want to connect to xbox live just to get the updates etc but can I plug the 360 straight into my ADSL modem or do I need a router?
