You're right that it would send a bad message but I feel moyes has been doing that all season by playing arteta when hes been contributing next to nothing on the pitch. Unfortunately we can't seem to keep a clean sheet at all this season, regardless of whos playing at the back with distin so i reckon moyes could easily put jags back in. Hopefully he doesn't try play johnny H in centre mid again though cos we all know how that went!

moyes seems to instill a mentality of not losing rather than winning, we have the lead and were looking fairly comfortable in defence in the first half, then come out after the break, sit back and seem to wait for the inevitable to happen, shocking collapse once again, moyes' ingenious substitutions didnt exactly help either

completely agree with this, moyes seems to get the players motivated for the big games but can't get the same attitude, workrate and performance out of them against lower quality opposition where we are expected to have more possession and chances on goal
