  1. The FA have been forced to drop a charge of improper conduct against David Moyes - thanks to evidence supplied by the Liverpool ECHO.

Moyes was charged with two breaches of FA rule E3 following comments he made about Mark Clattenburg's performance in the Goodison derby in October.

But after the intervention of the Echo, the FA has dropped the first charge. Graham Bean, of Football Factors who represented Moyes said: "Thanks to the evidence supplied by the Liverpool Echo we could prove that David had not made the comments which were alleged of him.

"Without it then there was a possibility that the charge would have been found proven and it cannot be right that the FA are reliant upon inaccurate evidence. It would have been the equivalent of a miscarriage of justice!

"The FA now need to review their whole policy on charging people in the game where they rely on the content of a newspaper article as this episode has proved highly embarrassing for them. They have withdrawn a charge because they have failed to ensure that the evidence they relied upon is correct."

The Echo supplied a recording of David Moyes' post-match press conference following the October derby match, which proved he did not actually make comments which were reported elsewhere.

Moyes does, however, still face another charge of improper conduct following comments he is alleged to have made about Clattenburg the following week at a separate press conference.

yeh i know but moysey was rite about him hes a ****,
  2. Liverpool are the only challengers for fourth. Manchester City, Portsmouth, Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers have are slipped up recently and their respective challenges are waning fast.
not so sure about that not the way benitez is chopping an changing, long may he rain hahaha, ad say villa are the ones to watch they look a decent side tbo,
  3. agree, i dont think AJ is a bad player. too many people think we're not scoring enough, we need a new/different striker in there...ive said for a long time evertons problem lies in midfield and i think my point has been more than proven with the addition of pienaar. that bit of class on the ball we needed, when he's in the side we play better and we create more. players like cahill, carsley, neville they have very little ability with the ball at their feet.

you can't expect AJ to score when the midfield can't keep the ball and use it, and because of that the defence bypass them, basically turning AJ into a winger, making him work for everything rather than chasing through balls now and then.

it is NOT AJs fault, I think, considering the playing time since Yaks arrival, he's actually done rather well and is a valuable member of the squad

that he is, you carnt score if you dont get the service.
  4. How about if he plays Euro games mainly, whilst Jags and Lescott learns from him? As I said, for a small price that kind of player is well worth it.
didnt we try to get him before ? dont rate the lad myself be a waste of money, anybody thought about wes brown from untd, hes stalling on a new contract and hes not a bad player.
  5. 5-6 Million is gd business....but i am sad to see him go....He brought us some additional flairs when we needed it...i can still recall how excited i was when we got him few years back...at that point of time he was the most gifted player our team had (that shows we are progressing!!)...in truth, i rather feel he was not given the opportunity to establish himself rather than to say he failed to establish....Player need plenty of confidence to perform and score....Confidence comes from experience, experience comes from mistakes, mistakes comes from trials, trials are minutes on the pitch....Good luck to Faddy, he will do well if given more chances...who know he can be a next bright star!! Good luck and good business!!
does anybody no if faddy wants to leave ? if he goes for 5.75 mil then thats not bad we paid 1.25 mil for him good return on what we forked out me thinks, plus were all rite for strikers got some good young tallent at are club so that department is covered, but thats just my view
  6. No argument from me on that point, it fits in with my point of view that Everton need to stay in the City so I see it as a means to an end.

If it is called in, it will be put in under scrutiny and if they should favour of Development Securities' plan (don't want to get into the Politics of it all but I won't be surprised if Kirkby's New Labour government allow stadium to go ahead when you consider new labour supporters/funders include Tesco and Bill Kenwright).

Paul - Let's hope so! (As long as it isn't Kirkby!)

    its all going pete tong,

  9.

Not strictly a transfer rumour but a rumour all the same .

My mate si who used to work at the training ground was speaking to one of the guys he used to work with yesterday and was told that in some posh pub in Formby Duncan Ferguson got liad out by one of his mates .

Apparently , he walked into the pub confronted Fergie than decked him and walked away shouting '' You know what thats for '' .

Probably a load of sh!T but has the Goodison legend been playing away from home with another mans wife or something .

Anyone heard anything similar cos i know these things can be like chinese whispers ?

 what did he hit him with a truck  think thats what you would need to deck the big man ;) carnt see this being true lads B)

  10. Personally I feel what is happening at Goodison this season, and I include the terrific signings in off season, is going on despite BK, not because of him.

We have a fairly strong board and autonomy is not a key word at Goodison, BK presents an oafish uncle type figure and panders to the press and his own ego, leave him to it.

We are have cleared a great deal of debt over the last three years and are in a stronger financial position than we have been for some time.

Let's not sell our soul to the devil just yet, could we offer him a lease on it?.

    ATB
