  1. "David Moyes saw his side lose more League games than they won last season (won 14, lost 16). The Toffees were also involved in more single goal games than any other club in the highest echelon. They achieved 1-0 wins 10 times, and lost by the same margin four times.

The Toffees hold a 100% Premiership record over Watford, having completed the 'double' over the Hornets in 1999/2000. They also hold a perfect home League record against them of seven victories out of seven, since hostilities began on 15 January 1983."

on the plus side they tip us for a top six finish! that makes a change.

BBC Sport verdict: Were unable to match the heady heights of 2004/05 last season, but boss David Moyes will want better this term.

New signings Andrew Johnson, Joleon Lescott and Tim Howard bolster a squad which already has plenty of talent.

If Moyes can find the right blend, a top-six place should be their aim.

Key man: Andrew Johnson. His strike partnership with James Beattie is vital to their chances of reaching Europe.

  2. it looks like carsley turned down the wages at wolves. its a pity because he has reached a point in his carreer were he isnt going to get a lot of first team games. of course that is if vdm can stay sober long enough to actually kick a ball.

:o wolves concide defeat in signing carsley today B)

  3. The money saved by not paying a transfer fee allows you to pay his wages, tho it would upset other players if he was getting twice as much.

Fulham just want him off the wage bill, but he's a cracking little player, and i'd like him here.

  5. I agree Ola. We need to give everyone a run though. Every player feels like they've got a great chance this year of being in the team.

  6. It'll deffo be ozzie, micky, nev and tiny tim who'll start the season but the flashes i've seen in pre season imply to me he could have an impact this year.
