  1. They're just C*nts.

GREEN - Dignified? What by shoving a 'Kenwright Out' banner right in his face? Civilised, shouting at someone (questions or not).

ORANGE - Of course you did, but this wasn't the BU? Or any other member affiliated with the BU? Come off it you belleneds, of course it was you, if it wasn't one of yours directly, i'm sure the wuestion they were asking are those that can be found stapled across your forum by every other member of the 'BU'. Fuckwits.

It is kind of good to see in a way, because they genuinely believe those kind of actions do any good. This is a great because no one needs to point out to them what a complete f**k up they are as an outfit, it is all publicly evident for everyone to see.

  2. So my only point on this topic ... I f**king hate BU. They are everything I hate about pressure groups. Other thing, and I hate to get personal, I loathe the high horse that people like Hafnia (feel free to complain to the mods) jump on when stupid stunts like this are performed by this extremely badly run group. That is all.

(Romey's last sentence above sums it up nicely for me.)

  3. We really don't have too many players. That's why it looks like we always have the same guys playing. The fact Moyes has had the inclination to use young players 'at all' should be a positive, as opposed to a negative when he 'doesn't' use them.

One of the things fans find difficult to understand is why players are picked. We need to realise we don't get to know 'any' information regarding 'any' player. Even the papers only get to know what Moyes tells them. For all we know, Barkley could have had a circumcision, or Vellios an ingrowing toenail. I mean not to joke, but we really don't know.

We might be best offering Moyes benefit of doubt until we learn otherwise.

Our team are not as good as we think. Remember that most of them were taken from lower divisions, or bargains, or retired ex United players, as Moyes tried to patch a squad together. Some have come through the academy and don't have the required experience to be risked in front of 40,000 screaming fans. Barkley is a child after all, even if he has turned 18. Many of us here have kids the same age, and I couldn't contemplate them having asll that responsibility at that age.

Bolton played as well as we did yesterday, and we failed to keep Ngog quiet and were punished. It was a funny day all round, but we won't be getting relegated this season, even if only because there are worse teams than us.

Next year though, we are very vulnerable depending on who is in the squad. Bear in mind that Saha, Distin etc are out of contract, as will Drenthe, Straq etc.

    This.

    +1.

  4. I have 20 years (and 4 operations) experience of bad backs lol.

The slightest thing can put it out. Throughout my teens, I trained hard in Judo, Jujitsu, and Atemi Jitsu and survived. Football, running, occasional weight training, survived. Go on holiday though, with a bargain basement Badminton set, and one stretch to hit the shuttlecock and my world fell apart. shaking%20fist.png Now I have to take Morphine everyday and occasional injections to keep the back pain in check. Get it scanned asap, or end up like me. wink.png

Wow, sounds like a bad back you've got there. Hopefully it doesn't get to the point I need morphine, but I do have a scan in a couple of weeks.

I did mine weightlifting (deadlifts) about 2 years ago, but recently it seems to go with the slightest thing, like picking up my sons toys off the floor. Weird thing is I can run all day long on it, just not sit down comfortably.

On a thread related note, postman gave me a parcel this afternoon and said "there ya go chief" lol

  5. With all due respect, I think thats a load of crap. I do understand what you are trying to say and I guess you maybe have a point with the pressure aspect if Barkley, McAleny, Vellios etc etc were starting every game and were in a team with several youngsters, but they arent and when the experienced players are horribly out of form, it is doing no-one any good whatsoever keeping them on the field when they arent performing. I cant see a single benefit.

The long shot thing would again hold more weight if the aforementioned 'experienced' players were giving the ball away and wasting possession several times each game, but unfortunately they are. If anything, we are crying out for someone to have a go, even if it is for 30mins at the end of a game to try something different.

Players shouldnt be making the starting line-up at the expense of the team performance. Against Sunderland we had Distin coming back in, with Neville, Cahill starting again, Osman moved wide and even McFadden coming off the bench very much supporting the 'favourites' arguement ( 67.gif ). They were all below par, they did nothing whatsoever to improve the dynamic of the team, and while you could understand Neville or Distin starting because of the absence of Fellaini, there was no way we should have seen such changes, especially coming off the back of one of our best performances this season. I am certainly not saying that all the kids should be starting our next game, but there have been chances to get Barkley involved in games that would suit him and Moyes has declined virtually everytime, Vellios has only started games where he would clearly be up against it and Gueye is only getting the chances because of injuries. Coleman even started with an injury ahead of Gueye against Swansea (theres another one for you Dunc tongue.png ) .

Again, dont mean any disrespect but I think you're almost making excuses for Moyes.

If we all agreed life would be very dull. :)

Every team has their favourite players (I would define favourite as being players that form the core of a team rather than the manager's drinking buddies), even other team managers do...so I don't see why we should be any different. Hasn't Neil Warnock signed Paddy Kenny three times for three different clubs?

What games do you think 'suit Barkley'? I think every game suits him and as a fan I want our brightest prospect since Rooney to be playing every game, but I don't think we have the team (or form/confidence) to allow that in its present state. I firmly believe that our views as fans are so 1 dimensional because we don't know what goes on behind closed doors, we have to have some faith in the management and in particular Moyes. What if Barkley is showing the signs of becoming another Michael Johnson (remember him?) - now I am not saying he is but we have to be reasonable in our opinions, which are always voiced more passionately when the team isn't performing. In fact, only a week or so ago I said on here that I am losing faith in Moyes generally and that still stands, but on this particular issue I don't think there is such a big issue (again, IMO). Barkley will get his chances and he will take them, I hope he bags a goal and celebrates in front of me in the Gwladys Street end, then he can run over to Moyes and show him the name on the back of his shirt.

The one immediate thing Moyes needs to do is drop Saha...drop him off at the airport to go back to France. He is getting that very wrong, very very wrong right now.

  6. I think Moyes is handling this situation well.

Our whole team is low on confidence and generally not playing well, everyone can see that. Now should he throw someone who is clearly not mature mentally (physically he is mature) to go and save the team and turn it around? IMO no he shouldn't. That type of pressure would 'devastate' Barkley if he has a bad game and we lose. Cahill and Neville, for example, can handle that sort of pressure as they are experienced players.

The team generally needs to be on the up and playing with better confidence before integrating Barkley back in to it. It is the same reason Vellios is not featuring much recently, he seemed to feel the pressure of our poor performances too.

Barkley went in to the youth cup and he did have a very good game, probably because he didn't feel as much pressure as he would playing right now in the 1st team.

Rooney was more mentally mature, although a loose cannon at times, than Barkley at the age of 17. You could see why he was playing every week in a poor performing team.

One other point, look back at the QPR footage. Barkley had a great debut but his enthusiasm means he takes a lot of long range shots, may be that is something we could do with (shots at goal!) but it also means conceding a lot of possession. Just a thought.

  7. Anyone know if Barkley is in the squad for tonight?

I'm going for a 2-1 win to us. Swansea to score first within 25 minutes (their big centre back), followed by Drenthe, and McAleney to pinch a winner on 88 minutes.

    Attendance: 29,500.

Fingers crossed Osman and Cahill are benched.

  8. Moyes has said there has been no contact from Chelsea... but went on to say we only sell expensively. Come and get him message?

Yeah, sounds like that to me. Bit annoying really. Even if we have to sell then don't demoralise a team and fan base further by speaking openly about it in public; a team that is already low on morale.

  9. 24. Why do scientists say life couldn't exist on planet x, y or z because of the conditions. I mean, they're fucking aliens ffs, they'd have evolved to suit the conditions they were made in.

    Very true.

Why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?
