I think he s more of a natural wide man than Faddy, but I would only really have him here as a squad player. Apparently Man City are also interested.

Reported in the Belfast Telegraph recently that Everton where lining up a £2m bid for the Northern Ireland left winger, currently playing at Sheffield Wednesday. Have to say I have been impressed watching him for our national team, alot of natural talent, but maybe needs a kick up the arse at stages. Would not be a bad acquistion with our current lack of wide men.

Manny Fernandes proved how good he was today, not for a long time have I seen such flair from someone in a blue shirt, maybe we got a bit with Arteta but this kid takes it to a new level, very impressed. What it comes down to is the cost? Reading this pages, I have seen £6m,£10m and £12m price tags being touted around. If the choice was a £5.5m Joey Barton or a £12m Fernandes, Barton would be my choice. No doubting either of the two players ability, but they are two very different players.

Plays at left back for our national team (N.Ireland), though he is a natural centre back and plays there for the Mackems. Only being played at left back as we have no-one else, but has been outstanding against Spain, Denmark and Latvia. Would be a very good addition, but Fergie does rate him highly.
