  1. lol, just out of interest, would anyone actually take it if they offered 45 million? The story obviously isn't true though...
  2. Yeah, I havn't really heard of this guy either to be honest! But he sounds very promising! 25 yrs old according to wikipedia means he will be coming into his 'prime'. And as somone pointed out earlier, Yobo will be gonig to the african nations so we will need another central defender! They deal could cost 6.5 million, but he sounds like he has international and european experience so could well bolster our defence while playing in europe next season!
  3. Ah, I don't really care about Leeds. In fact, if anything I'm glad that they're going down. Bunch of cheats.....
  4. -------------------Howard------------------ Neville----Yobo-------Lescott-------Velente Arteta-----Barton-----Cahill-------(Problem area?!?!?!) -----------Johnson-----Nugent-------- Subs: Turner, Hibbert, Vaughun, Anichebe, Carsley As can be seen, the 2 main additions to our squad are Nugent, Barton, and hopefully a left winger. I think in the centre of the park, we will have plenty of bite and drive in Barton and Cahill. Both are also able to score goals. Nugent and Johnson should hopefully form a good partnership and there pace add an extra dimension to our game. We have good cover from young strikers anichebe and Vaughun. I would have included Fernandes in the starting line up, if we can manage to get him, with barton moving to the right and arteta to the left.
  5. Personally, I think that we should go for him. With him, arteta, cahill, carsley and neville we will have a very balenced midfield with skill, creativity and strong work ethic. Furthermore, I would not mind spending 12 million on a player, who in the future, could be worth 20.
  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulley_Muntari looks good according to wikipedia, although it appears he has been linked with clubs such and Man U and inter. This may be a good sign for potential, but maybe a bad one in our chances of getting him.... Also, it describes him as a central midfielder, not a left winger.
  7. I know this has probebly cropped up before about Johnson moning back down to London. http://football-forever.com/forum/showthre...0016#post370016 But reallistically, what would you do if we were offered 18 million for Johnson? Would you snap there hand off or would you say we keep our best players, not sell them. Personally, for all the good johnson has done, I would have to say goodbye to johnson. His pace adds an extra dimension to our play, and he works hard, but I'm sure we could find an adiquate replacement for under 18 m.
  8. I think we should only go for Sidwell if we can't get manny, but for free he could be a very useful player. I still think the priority is some wingers though....

    Charlton

I have a feeling that it will end up a draw- which isn't too good for either team really. 1-1.
  10. I have run out of patience with Beattie to be honest. I used to defend him- but he has never performed at his best- or if he has it has been merely momentarily. I think its worth trying to offload him now for as much as we can and look into finding a replacement.
  11. I havn't heard of this guy before- but if the report is to be belived he sounds like just what we need! VDM is the most natural winger we have at the moment, and on his day he can be great. But he sadly just seems to injury prone. We might be able to get 1 million for him.....
  12. Well, at the moment I think we need to reinforce the wings and maybe a new striker. I think Manny is a must buy, as most people will agree. Not many winger spring to mind that are available at the moment- maybe Gamst Pederson, but he will be expensive. As for strikers, the obvious choice is nugent. Yet , although I will probebly get an ear full for even suggesting this, maybe Cisse would be worth a shot?
