That's what I was thinking. Let's see if this frees any money up for any more transfers.Welcome relief off the wages bill

Good luck Louis, even though he has been shit recently, he has scored some quality goals and given us some quality moments:
Record FA cup final goal
West Ham away
Middlesbrough home in the cup
edit: too late, see above post!

'Arry said he is plagued by injuries and he needed to get someone in to let Peanuts go. Looks like this one won't happen.
Moyes seemed quite eager to leave the interview on SSN so lets hope it's to work on the Pienaar deal! Bend his ear please Mr Moyes!
-
It made me laugh on SSN, Harry Rednapp dropping names left, right and centre, then Moyes coming on saying he doesn't like talking about players who are other clubs. Moyes was talking about other deals possibly going through so fingers crossed for something!

Bluekipper rufugees mostly?!

Great team performance. For me it has to go for Straq. Commited performance. Take a bow son!

Just said on SSN that Saha deal is pretty much done, Melt Face has confirmed it. They also said the talks with QPR over Pienaar have broken down. Could be a goer lads,

Midweek game, whats the opinions? Howard to be dropped? Full strength team?
Hopefully we'll take it seriously coz its an opportunity for some much needed silverware.
I reckon Saha should get more of a run out after his impact at Hull, and maybe Nash to start...

Yo guys, someone on the Fulham forum is suggesting they have called a press conference at 2pm tommorow, presumably to unvail AJ as their new signing. Could be bollocks but here you go:

I go to the Selwyn on Selwyn Street by Kirkdale station. Not too busy and always get serviced fast due to the barmaids kinda knowing my dad...

Congratulations ..................... Edward Francis Clothier has a nice ring to it.
Thanks and yeah that does sound pretty good actually. I'll suggest that one tonight. I was thinking Frasier as well...
-
Congrats to your sister James!
F is difficult, can't think of a decent one really but as it's only his middle name could probably get away with Flynn or Fergal .
Went to school with a lad whose middle name was Farqueson, but she may want to give that one a miss .
Thanks and yeah it is a tricky one. Been on some boys names websites and there not exactly an abundance of decent names beginning with F.
-
Baines may well be used on the wing rather than left back.
Yeah i've thought that before. As much as i like baines going forward when i can't help but think we are gaping at the back and quite vunerable when he is doing his powering runs...

My sister had a baby boy yesterday morning and he is beautiful!
His name is Edward Clothier. Now they are genuinely thinking of a decent middle name beginning with F! (Ferguson and Farrely have already been suggested)
Any suggestions???

From the Mirror:
Everton are set to launch a £2million raid on relegated Leicester for promising teenager Joe Mattock.
The Foxes have already lost Gareth McAuley, Iain Hume and Richard Stearman after slipping into League One.
Left-back Mattock, 18, also wants out with Everton boss David Moyes a big admirer.
I haven't seen anything of the guy, but I think there a more urgent positions we need to fill, especially if Baines gets back to full fitness for next season.

yeh we should definately burn his house down in my opinion
hell yeah

From Daily Post artical on main site:
Everton have been heralded as a shining example to the rest of the Premier League on how to challenge the ‘big four’ by Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker.David Moyes’s side are the only club outside the top flight’s regular Champions League competitors of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to finish in the top four during the last five seasons.
Reo-Coker attracted Moyes’s interest during his final season at West Ham United before opting to join Villa last summer. Despite a strong finish to the season from the Midlanders, Everton held out to secure fifth place and a UEFA Cup spot ahead of Martin O’Neill’s side last season and Reo-Coker admitted that his Villa team-mates see Everton as an example to follow.
He said: “Look at Everton. All credit to David Moyes, but how long has he been building there? A very long time.
“Next year will be the manager’s third year and we had a chance of overtaking them for fifth spot until the final game.”
Now is it just me or have the Daily Post totally misinterpreted what he said? A fine example of bad journalism. From what I can gather he his saying they have done what we have but in 3 years instead of 5. What a gob shite...

The one home game i will miss all season due to prior holiday arrangements and it's manure at home....
-
IMO time to leave him, did nothing when he came back (some will argue this) but I would not have him back. Also, I think he is a last resort for Moyes, if he doesn't get any of his big name targets he may get Fernandes back on loan.
He didn't set the world on fire like he did last time but the problem was everyone expecting too much too soon. The guy hadn't been playing for Valencia and was bound to be off the pace. When he was getting his fitness back towards the end of the season I thought he was brilliant. Especially against Arsenal and Newcastle. Unfortunately for some it was too little too late but if i was manager i'd try and buy him. He's young, he can obviously play football and he's the type of player we need in our squad to make the next steps to becoming a top 4 side.
