  1. "If he joins City, the Brazilian star wants written guarantees in his contract that Sheikh Mansour remains the club's owner and continues to invest heavily, that City qualify for the Champions League within two years, that Robinho stays at the club and also that he retains control of his image rights. If any of those clauses are broken, Kaka would be allowed to leave for a predetermined transfer fee."

You can't have a player dictating to the club like that...laughable.

Haha i just read that myself. It wouldn't surprise me if they did bow to it but. Maybe without the Robinho part.

  2. The trouble for Man City will be that amazingly there are still a lot of players out there with some morals. Who realise they are already making ridiculous money at their present club, can see that City are crap and don't want to be remembered as the bloke who would rather chase a few extra bucks that win trophies.

Having said that I doubt they will have any trouble finding 11 supposed superstars with absolutely no dignity willing to leave title contenders from around the world to go and lose 3rd round FA cup ties to non-league teams. But a team full of players like this will never be successful as City will soon find out.

  3. Yeah I wouldn't worry about Fellaini's yellow card rate!

I recall he collected over 10 yellow cards in his first season at Standard and in the Belgian First League.

Last season he made a wager with someone (don't know the exact details) and he succeeded in only gathering 2 or 3 yellow cards in the entire first round.

I reckon that Fellaini still needs to adjust to the tempo of the PL, once he's fully settled and gets a tiny bit faster, he won't need those little faults anymore and won't be in the 'spotlight' of the referees anymore.

His elbows ... the part of his game I hate the most ... will still take some time. But in Belgium it was far worse so he really is learning! Although I was a little surprised with his elbows at the corner kick ... I never saw him doing anything like that in Belgium ... at least not when he wasn't in the air.

Fellaini is a big talent and I think you won't regret making him your record signing!

WOW, that must have been actually ridiculous to see.

  4. You talking about "carrying on good form" or finishing fourth?

It seems to me that we've not carried our good form to the end of the season in any of the last few years of relative success. Even when we finished fourth we crawled over the line with all the "chasing" teams falling over each other to hand it to us.

Be nice to change the trend....if we do we can certainly be top four :) .

Yeh but that year we started the season playing like a premier league team and not the under 12's from west sydney. So it would be fair to say we burnt out that year. This season we have only been playing properly for a month and the players seem to be re-invigorated by this form. In two weeks it's a real possibility that we won't be involved in any of the cup competitions which should eliminate the burnout factor, so all the ingredients are there to finish the season strongly.

  5. There is no way Vic should play he contributes nothing to the side and we are much better playing Cahill up front. Bring either Castillo or Gosling in or if Yobo is fit put him back in the centre of defence, Lescott on the left and Baines in midfield.

  6. Good to see Tottenham back where they belong. If one of them, Newcastle or City went down that would be great to see. At the moment I genuinely believe we will qualify for next years CL. After this month our schedule becomes unbelieveably easy. February and March should see us taking maximum points from almost every game and give us some great momentum going into the business end of the season. If we play like we have the last month for the rest of the season there is no doubt we will finish top 4. The trouble is actually sustaining this form.

  7. I woulden't mind him, better than Nugent or Lita. I looked on his Wiki which told us facts which we already knew, but this little part made it clear that's he's moving away from England.

His 2008/09 campaign has been blighted by injury, with Smith not having featured whatsoever in competitive action. Larry McNally, Irish mananger of Finish league leaders FC Haka, has expressed an interest in signing Smith on loan to help him regain fitness. However, Karl Runwick of Sydney United has recently signed a first option loan agreement with Newcastle United to bring Smith down under should he recover from his injury before 17th February.

One of the biggest lies of all time. There isn't even a team called Sydney United in our competition. And as if he's moving to Finland. This is just someone mucking around with his wiki page, remember anyone can do it.
