  1. I think Moyes has got this one spot on. If he wants to go then let him run down his contract. We payed little for him and he'll be a huge help with pushing up the league! The only way Id consider letting him go is if somehow we could get a decent player in return, the question is who if any?
  2. Bainsey freekick masterclass!!

  3. I watched the Spurs game and I was very impressed with the result. I think if Im honest Spurs were just about the better team with a couple more chances. We were missing key players and Spurs were a lot closer to their strongest eleven than we were. I thought Neville was solid and Baines was a reliable as always. (What a free kick by the way) I wasnt impressed with Billy, I know we need to give him more time but I found myself getting frustrated with him at times. I like to see him attacking a little more when one on one with the fullback which I dont think he did. Howards mistake obviously cost us but Ive got a lot of time for him, hes been oustanding for us over the last couple seasons. Bring on Stoke and a few more points!! COYB!!
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Taylor_(footballer) You can never trust Wiki but for your interest please see link. '2009-10 Taylor looks set to have played his last game for Newcaslte Utd in their 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace after a bright start to the season. English club Everton F.C are set to sign the defender after a £6million pound offer was accepted. Taylor is expected to visit Everton officials and agree a 5 year deal.' I hope this is true
  5. I this is an area we need to invest in. I'd love to keep arteta in the centre mid position after this seasons desplays. Although the baines / piennar combination has been very positive I believe moving piennar to the right could be the best solution. How about; Downing - 10-15mil - good left foot, english, solid performer in a poor team, international, scored enough goals for a winger Adam Johnson - 4-8mil - I really like this kid! He's young and talented, got great speed, able to beat players, just needs a little more strength Hunt - 4-6mil - ok premiership player, good for the squad and could be a surprise, moyes has done it with cahill, jags and lescott! What do you all think? (I might have the valuations a little wrong so appologies)
  6. I know this post is a little late but I went to see Everton v Wigan away and was very disapointed with Fellaini. For someone his size to lose out on so many headers was dissapointing to say the least. He missed tackles and only seems to have one gear - slow. I understand that he might need time to settle in but in my opinion he shouldnt be starting!! I would rather see Rodwell playing. An average wigan center midfield made us look so poor. Some of you will disagree but in my opinion Felaini is not worth 15million!!! Not by a long shot! Fellaini and cahill together just doesnt work either!! Cahill is one of our best players but he is neither a right winger nor a holding midfielder. Against Wigan he was either defending or putting in crosses instead of providing his usual goal threat because felaini was taking up his usual position! Without jags and howard we would have lost that game by 2 or 3 goals! I cant remember the amount of times that Neville got the ball at right back to find nobody on the right side as cahill naturally drifted inside. This season our problems have been midfield and i think we need to play a natural holding midfielder and let Cahill get up to his usual late arriving goals especially now we are lacking upfront!! Just a quick note also to say that Jags has been amazing this season and I hope he gets a deserved England call up again. He is turning into a great player with the potential to wear the captains armband at Everton. Howard Hibbert Jags Yobo Lescott Rodwell / Neville Arteta Osman Piennar Cahill Anichebe
  7. You're correct Mike, I have never seen him play live. But as a huge Evertonian I have both read and watched many games of Everton which The Rat played in. I also come from a family of Evertonains, many of them having seen him pay at Goodison! I wouldn't have used his name without having the knowledge to do so! I think Jags is very similar to the Rat as he reads the game beautifully, great in the air and controls the back line well. Sound familiar?!
  8. How can you leave Jags or Cahill out of the starting team. Cahill is arguably our best player and Jags was our most consistant player last year in my opinion hence his England call up. He is the kevin ratcliff of today! This in my opinion is undoubtedly the strongest team we have available when all are fit. Howard Neville Jags Lescott Baines Fellani Piennar Cahill Arteta Yakubu Saha The only debate is whether to play Yobo in the center and play Lescott at full back. I think this is our strongest team. Watch the standard liege game against the shite and youll see hoe impressive fellani looks! Not happy with the players we have missed out on and our still small squad but i think we can make do untill january. PLEASE PLEASE MOYES, SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE!!! NSNO
  9. Everton are a joke at the moment. Moyes doesn't look or sound happy at all and he won't be signing a contract soon by the way he sounded in the interview and I don't blame him. We shouldn't be in the position we are, ten days until the end of the transfer market and we don't seem to have a hope of signing anyone! We always seem to take weeks rather than days to sign anyone where arsenal take less than 48hours to sign Silvestre. We could have had Darren Bent in my opinion if we had acted quicker before he started scoring in pre-season and spurs lost keane and looked to lose berbatov. Moyes must have had his transfer list sorted by the end of last season and the board have made a mess of things. I remember being an Evertonian when reaching 40points with 6games to go was a 'good season'. Moyes has done a fantastic job for us and turned us into a young, talented and hard working team that is capable of doing something. We risk losing Moyes and players like arteta if we dont wake up a little. Neville and Gosling are injured and if they're involved on sat then they shouldn't be. That leaves us with having to start with Baxter possibly and even another young lad. I think all evertonians are frustrated, even the optimistic ones. I trust Moyes, but I think his hands are tied. Lets hope that we make the signings Moyes wants and not just buy anything to make the numbers. Lets try Downing instead of paying the 16mil sporting want for MOUTINHIO. NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM!!!!!
  10. This is my first post so I hope I get it right... I think we could do with buying a right back, left footed winger, and another center mid. Pieenar - 3mil - I dont need to comment on why we need to buy him Fernandes - 8-10 mil is a good buy for us. He hasn't been as good as his first spell but he's suffered a lot of small injuries that has hampered his form. He's starting to look a lot better in games. Stuart Downing - 8-10mil - I realy think a Downing type player is crucial for us to take the next step and improve our team. I think Downing, although he's recently signed a new contract, is ready to make the step up. I cant see him playing for Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or the shite. He'd offer us great service, pace, and an eye for goal and he's an english player. Ideal signing. Ryan Taylor - 4mil - Hes had some great reviews from Wigan and he's got amazing fitness. The lad can run all day. An evertonian who's good enough for us. Luke Young - 4mil - another option for right back. How about daren bent at spurs, he was class at charlton and hel score goals if he plays! and we'l fight fight fight with all our might for the boys in the royal blue jersey!
