  1. I can not believe how pessimistic some people are, it is unbelievable. Just remember the quality we have in our team. We have 3 Current International Center Half's on our team in Yobo, Jags, and Lescott. Arteta is absolute quality when he is fit, and all signs point to him being fit right now. Yakubu is one of the the best African strikers in the world. All in all I believe we need signings to hold our 5th place spot, but lets face it we still have a lot of quality on our team. A team like Blackburn should be dealt with. A true Everton fan understands the meaning of grit and patience. The lack of both of those qualities on this board truly astounds me. Have faith, as long as Moyes is manager, I believe we can win any game. True Everton fans will back the club through thick and thin, there is no need to go negative on the club. Sure this offseason has been frustrating, but I still see the same quality I saw last year. Keep the faith gents.
  2. Warnock is a solid Left back. Much better than Baines or Nuno. My dream scenario would be to offload Baines, and get Warnock in, and have some more funds for Moyes to use. But knowing the Everton way that is highly unlikely....one can only dream....
  3. I read that same article a while back Louis, hopefully it is true. The worrying news is that the BBC usually would have run a follow up article on it by now. I am still crossing my fingers.
  4. I don't think Moyes would leave... Will most likely see out his contract, then bolt. Hopefully BK opens up his wallet and splashes the cash, or things could turn nasty. Well actually not really BK's wallet, more or so the Wallet that Moyes has built, that has to be one frustrated man.
  5. Gonna be exciting to see who both teams field My Guess: --------------Howard------------- Yobo----Lescott----Jags------Valente ------Rodwell------------Neville-------- ---Arteta---------Osman----------Baines ----------------Yakubu------------------ Bench: Turner Gosling Baxter Do we still have Kissock? He might get a go....jesus thats terrible After that I am clueless, maybe Moyes will put himself on the bench....
  6. I am hoping this is true. Just looked around a few websites, and saw reports that we signed him on loan. Love is a dynamic striker, very quick, but not always on target as much as you would like. I look forward to seeing him and Yakubu working together. Edit: Here is a link: VagnerLove

  8. I wouldn't mind picking him up for 3 million. He could be a great squad member for us. I just don't want to see him being a consistent starter. Hard worker though, and Moyes has been known to work magic with hard workers. Could be a good buy.
  9. Doubt this would happen. Ochoa is a world class keeper right now. He was linked with Arsenal, and Bayern in January. He wouldn't come to Everton to back up Howard.
  10. Visit My Website Nice little article about what the sticking point is. Apparently we want to put in installments, while they want 1 large lump sum. Wouldn't mind swapping AJ for Moutinho, seeing as we are better playing a 4-5-1 anyways. Howard Neville---Yobo---Jags---Lescott ------Holding Midfielder------ (Dear God we need one badly) Arteta------------------Pienaar -------Cahill-----Moutinho----- ---------Yakubu------------------ Would let us have the likes of Baines, Osman, and Vaughan (If he is fit) on the bench. And we could have some youngsters also give some depth such as Gosling and Rodwell ( Really like what I have seen out of him) Come on BK give Moyes what he needs.
  11. Everton's future seems to look bright. The youth academy seems to be producing players. Now we just need to focus on keeping these players in our ranks. Hopefully we can hear about Baxter, Rodwell, and Gosling for a long time. On another note it is sad to see Andy Van Der Meyde go down with an injury. Hopefully it isn't too serious and he can come back where he left off. Arteta's injury should be a cause for concern, hopefully it is just a sprain and he can be good to go in a couple of days.
  12. Great News for Andy. I don't see him beating out Arteta or Pienaar for that matter, but if he gets his head straight he could be a valuable sub, and part time starter. If Andy can spell Arteta and Pienaar and keep them fresh for the latter part of the season, I don't think we have such a big fall off towards the end of the year. Basically, if Andy is good to go, he deserves a shot. Come on Moyes! Work your magic!
  13. I think Moyes should take a long look if Tottenham are indeed selling 16 first team members. I think Younes "Disaster" Kaboul could be worth a shout if the prices is under 2 million. Moyes seems to work magic with Defenders. Lescott and Jagielka come to mind. Kaboul has decent speed and makes strong challenges. He just needs some mental focus. There would be no pressure here if he was the 3rd defender, and I think the pressure got to him at Tottenham. I rate him much higher than Hibbert. Malbranque could be an interesting player on the left. Makes smart touches, but it just appears he lacks that bit of quality. Would be a great addition to the bench. Could provide great depth for Arteta and Pienaar on the wings. Paul Robinson is going to be first team somewhere, so thats a no go. Bent would be good if the price is right. Although having him and Yakubu up front, missing goals from inside the 6 yard box could drive Moyes crazy. Prince-Boateng looks promising but I don't think Moyes would cough up to the price Tottenham want for the promising youngster. Chimbonda could be worth a shout for the 3-4 million price tag that has been quoted. He is a solid RB, much better than Neville or Hibbert. Adds a bit of speed to the flank also. If Moyes could get Kaboul and Chimbonda for about 5-6 million, I say do it. They would considerably improve the backline. We could have Lescott at LB Yobo and Jags at CB and Chimbonda at RB. Put Baines and Kaboul on the bench. Frees up Neville to play in a holding midfield role which is a big need for us. I'm not saying Neville is great there, but he is a better passer than Carsley, and he can run. Would much rather look to the Championship for squad numbers than Hossam Ghaly. There could be some good buys down there. Gareth Rae from Cardiff or Wes Hoolihan from Blackpool for example. Hopefully Moyes can really strengthen our squad so we can make a run at Europe next season. Anyways those are my two cents.
  14. I have seen quite a bit of Bradley. He is the future leader of our NT team. Has quite a bit of pace to boot. Won't make amazing runs like Gerrard, but is able to dribble around defenders if necessary. Has a decent shot, dutch keepers make it look better than it is. Very smart player, with a good work rate. Very strong tackler. Passing could use some improvement. Lacks focus on long balls. Does tend to hold the ball at times. Would be a great buy in my opinion. He is a class below the other young holding middies such as Gago and Banega but could develop better due to his offensive instincts.
  15. Hello all, First post here. I don't get to watch as many games as I like due to the fact I am an American...I know what a shame Neville is a weak spot in my opinion, he does something brilliant about every 15-20 minutes, with about 3 blunders mixed in there. So a move for a RB would be welcome. Moyes needs to find room for Baines. Baines is a solid player. If my memory serves me correct, I remember Jags played some RB at Sheff Utd. Possibly could rearrange the back four and put Jags at RB, Yobo and Lescott in the middle, and Baines at LB. Andy Johnson is horrid. Would like to see him moved. If Birm City go down, I wouldn't mind picking up Cameron Jerome or Kapo. Michael Bradley is a decent player. Future leader of USA NT. Would take a bit to transition, but eventually would be a goo buy.
