  1. If you asked alot of football fans in general how good a footballer they thought Lee Carsley is they would most probebly have said the same as you have about Hunt, they are both very overlooked and underhyped players who where and are integral parts of each teams. Dont get me wrong he isnt a world beater as we all know but its players in there mould that can carry a team and i'd rather have a player who you can rely on to give his all then some slapped arse spaniard who's hit and miss.

  2. ...and to bring us back down to earth...

I dont think there's much substance to that story tbh no actual comments quoted.

I agree with your principles Jamie mate i feel for clubs like Bolton and Wigan and so on who have put in a big effort to stay in the Prem but no major investor will ever touch them with such little marketability and relatively small fan bases. I do hope it happens as we all know we can not push forward in today's climate as we are, so hopefully we get some news in the next few days that this will happen.

  3. Has anyone seen 'The Dark Knight' yet? Best film ever made IYO?

Yeah watched it abit ago very good film Heath Ledger plays a top role as the joker well worth a watch. I watched Righteous Kill the other day which is a good film if you like Pacino and De niro its worth watching.

Two films that a watched abit ago that i'd recommend are Street Kings http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421073/ and We Own The Night http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0498399/

  4. He's having a very good season so far and bagged a few goals, I think he is what we need at the moment and for £5mil would be a bargain as i can see him changing the course of our season so far. He would be a good candidate for a captain once settled in my eyes if we got him in Jan.

Ashame the Obinna deal didnt come through aswell as i think those two would have imo played a big part for us from the get go.

  5. Alrite chaps, just wondering whether any of you lads have come across the celeb soundboards where they take clips from various celeb voices to make conversations with people, a top way of winding your mates and relatives up.

  6. How do chaps, not a great result or performance i just hope we vastly improve and sharpish or its midtable this term. By rights we should be beating teams like Bburn not that there a shit team but the fact we have supposedly strengthened our team this season and they have not speaks volumes on how bad where playing.

Im not looking forward to playing the shite with the way where playing i hope we get a grip on the weekend and kick start our season.

  7. If our Defence pulled it together i think we would have a very balanced team

    --------------------Howard--------------------

    Neville------Yobo-----------Jags------Baines

    ------------------------------------------------

    --------------Fallaini/Castillo-----------------

    ------------------------------------------------

    Arteta--------------------------------Pienaar

    -------------------Cahill----------------------

    --------------------------Yakubu-------------

  8. Shambles lads its a sad thing tbh i to cant see what has brought about this absolute shite football where playing fair does alot of stuff has gone on behind the scenes but it isnt stopping the players getting their pay slips pull your fucking fingers out ffs

  9. i have to agree Romey mate sadly but going off how we look at present where going to be a mid/lower tabled team. I know ppl say these newly promoted teams are hard to play against and tbh i think its a load of bollocks its pseudo we should be hammering team of stoke and hulls calibre!!!

  10. I can see where your coming from Jimmy with a few of your points but i do imo think Moyes is worth the money, i dont think any other manager whould have stayed as long a Moyes has given the fact he has had very little funds available for such strong league finishes/europe in terms of money gained and so on. As we know we have'nt got the most financially co-operative board which in its own right would frustrate any manager. I think Moyes is taking a risk to be perfectly honest by commiting his self to the club again, No clue on whether there will be money available come January? No developments in terms of moving to Kirby or any other possibilities concerning the stadium? Other teams around us having far more spending power which will put us at risk of slipping down the pecking order and so on.

All in all Moyes has done an excellent job imo given the resources he has had to play with we have seen a team go from relagation fodder to a top 5/6 team in one of the toughest league's in the world, we have seen players bought for pennies in todays market who have become integral parts of our team plus who's value's would be far greater now to what we paid, We have alot of young talented players looking to make the first team within a season or two. Moyes has one of the best names as a manager in the EPL and he is still relatively young as managers go so i think if it went tits up for him from now on which it very well could his reputation and status as a possible future United candidate will go flying out the window and we'd be looking at a slimmer more stoneyfaced version of Allardyce.

  11. We need to keep Dalmat quiet in the next game, ran us ragged all night. Apart from him thought, if we can control that we should control the game. Hope Peanuts is back for the next game and I'd slip Baines in behind him. Use them overlapping up the left and double up on Dalmat. Baines should have the legs to keep him quiet. Just need to run him into the line or the corner, nothing flash.

I agree mate i really do hope Moyes gives Baines a chance as i think he'll snatch it with both hands.

  12. i thought arteta did better than so far this season, but still weak at set pieces. castillo was very tidy in midfield, always on the simple ball, something we need to have in there, and a great strike. yak did very well and scored a good goal. but it was between jags and pip for me. jag was solid at the back and covered up a few of lescotts mistakes, but i gave it to pip, was good at the back with some good tackles and blocks, ran the channel single handedly as no one seemed to support him out there and lots of good crosses. lead by example for me. lescott, whatever is going on in your life, fucking sort it out. we have a good young left back who will break his neck to get on the field for us, and we seem to be accomodating lescott who hasnt performed well in the slightest since returning for preseason. maybe he wanted a move, maybe his england buddies have told him about their 100k plus wages, i dont know, but right now the lad is a shambles.

Totally agree with what your saying mate, Baines is a talented lad who i have always rated i think with a good few games under his belt and abit more confidence i could see him ousting Lesbo. Arteta had a good game but have to agree set pieces have been quite poor. I like the look of Castillo made a few misguided passes but other then that had a solid game and scored a belter i think with abit more time this lads going to be a very good player for us.

I gave my vote to Jags he put in 100% and won practically every challenge was a very good display. Overall not a bad display we had enough to beat Liege imo will be a tough game away but i have a feeling we will roll em over at there place for some strange reason
