  1. At the price bandied around he would be a good purchase, league title, European experiance, and English. I would have him and I reckon Moyes could turn him around. Don't forget Newcastle are dogshit we have much more playmakers of decent pedigree in our team. Remember lads its about building a squad, and he will be a strong squad player.
  2. were still making a profit so let him fuck off, no commitment.
  3. I initially was into moving from Goodison but Kirkby was sold on lies. I can only see Kirkby as a bad move for the future of Everton, it wasn't the best of Stadiums and how did we propose to fill a 50,000 stadium when we don't fill a 40,000 Goodison? Where was the extra fans going to come from? I'm distressed that we were allegedly having to stump up 78m as part of the funding when we were told we would get it for practically nothing. I know 78m was probably going to be bad ass loans and investments so surely we should have a few bob for players if this plan is over? I'm not an idiot and suggesting we should have 78m to spend but surely it must free up some money? Goodison ain't the worse stadium in the country but if the shite are going to leave Anfield then maybe we should claim our old home back and re-develop it? Can't cost that much can it and it holds more than Lady Goodison? Its not all doom and gloom Everton will be around a lot longer than you and I. If we want to succeed stop the negativity and get behind our boys lets p off Liverpool by breaking into the top four, I still think this is a goal with the team we have and expect big things considering we lost Yakubu, Pienaar, and Yobo at crucial stages of last season due to ACON. We still have Arteta, Cahill, Yakubu, Lescott, and Tim Howard, all match winners in there own right.
  4. Yeah it would be funny watching him in derby match. Keep having to go back and watch the video again, as I said earlier he would gain cult status at Everton.
  5. Check him out here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EL_bZAdOKhk you will see what I mean.
  6. I see he is trying to lay the blame at DM door. David won't allow this and he won't settle for that. Well its showtime now Bill, break a leg.
  7. Cana is an absoloute lunatic, he will spend half the season suspended. Have you seen him in action? He will gather cult following but I can't see him coming to Everton.
  8. A bit harsh, I wouldn't worry I'm sure West Ham, Wigan, or Sunderland will pop in with the goods. If not, nothing lost he is still a handy player to have around.
  9. Just got my self way over excited about a full season of a fit Tim Cahill. Damn youtube!
  10. Agreed, although we do have a good team its all about cracking the top four and getting CL money and prestige. I have no doubts we will finish in the top ten and I believe the relegation fighting years are a thing of the past, but we have got to progress and to do that we need strength in depth. Moyes needs to replace Carsley if he wants to operate his tried and trusted formation. If we have a fully fit Vaughan, Cahill, and Arteta this season I will be happy, however we need that one maybe two more special players so we can compete when playing a top four team. We have looked good and threatened to blow them away at times but have ran out of steam and went on to lose. I don't think Anichebe is going to bag more than five goals a season so we will need to replace Johnson. We should buy Manny permanantley casue I reckon Valencia will sell cheaply. I'm not going to worry until 2355 hrs on deadline day
  11. I'm not so sure with anything related to Everton these days, its all cloak and dagger stuff. I'm just annoyed that Kirkby was sold to the fans on the idea that we would practically pay nothing, now Everton have to stump up a lot of cash. Surely we would be able to pull in an investor whilst still at Goodison, the investor could then finance a top of the range stadium in Liverpool.
  12. This is on footy transfer rumours; Everton news, I have been told that as soon as the Andy Johnson to Fulham deal has gone through, Everton will complete the signing of Joao Moutinho from Sporting. There were reports stating that Johnson had failed a medical, but this is not true. The hold up was due to late interest from Tottenham, who had matched Fulham's bid after doubts about whether the Pavlyuchenko deal would go through. However, this deal is close to completion and the bid was withdrawn. Finally, Everton will complete the signing of Manuel Fernandes from Valencia for £6 million, and Javier Saviola on loan from Real Madrid. Love to know where people get their info. Made up wild gueses?
  13. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson remains hopeful the club will be able to conclude a deal to sign Andy Johnson. A fee was agreed with Everton for Johnson, although The Cottagers are renegotiating the terms of payment due to an old knee injury. Hodgson has confirmed talks with The Toffees remain ongoing, but he has not spoken with Fulham officials to ascertain the latest situation. "I think the situation is still ongoing. The transfer negotiations are still going on as far as I know," Hodgson told Sky Sports News. Negotiations "I haven't spoken to the chief executive today (Saturday) so I can't tell you more than that. He's the one negotiating with Everton." When asked if Johnson will sign for Fulham this summer, Hodgson replied: "I think so. I've no reason to believe he won't." Johnson has won eight caps for England and Hodgson believes the striker will bring undoubted quality to Craven Cottage. "Andy Johnson is a player with great quality. Wherever he's been he's done very, very well," Hodgson added. "He'll give us balance up front that we're looking for." Cheeky sods trying to get him cheap, sod it send him back to Goodison!!!!
  14. A couple of Thai lady boys? A back handed reach around? A night with the Cheeky girls? Who knows with twisted MPs
  15. Robbie 'Lilly' Savage. I will cry if this ever happens!
  16. I agree the qoute just dosen't fit the question asked, someone is playing silly buggers.
  17. News is he passed the medical and the transfer can't be completed until he agrees personal terms.
  18. Money wise all the noise coming out of Everton is we will make signings soonest and 20 m on Moutinho will seem nothing, that's were I get reading between the lines DM. Seems funny KW quits now all we hear is all the money we got to spend? I am only speculating like most people on this site and having my tuppence worth. I don't know if we have a pot to piss in or what, but lets be honest Everton have been buying players on the never never for years. Were not exactly in the Leeds situation just yet.
  19. Looking between the lines KW has been the blocker on the transfer front, hopefully Kirkby has fell through and its all come to a head. Much rather have cash in the bank buy a team thats worthy of a top of the range stadium then move to somewhere actually in the City. I do think KW wanted the money to push Kirkby through, hopefully we stay at Goodison for now.
  20. I think the silence over Johnson has been due to the fact that Everton didn't actually want to sell until we got the right fee from Fulham, hoping West Ham jump in with another couple of million on top..... As for new signings if we get Moutinho I will be over the moon. Imagine the football that will flow through our midfield. Some of the stuff we played during the Uefa Cup run was top draw, Ossie's goal against Larrisa had me dancing a jig. I reckon Arteta needs another skilful player like Moutinho. Still can't believe how shit we looked against the shite at Analfield, there pitch seemed massive to our team, players like Moutinho will go a long way to stopping shite displays like that. who will be next though? Milito? Bent? Viera? Vagner Love? ......nah probably Michael Tonge from Sheff United.
  21. It makes sense to intitialy offer 11.5, we should try and get him for cheap as possible as someone else pointed out earlier you go in for a bid of 20m and they would want 22m. Its looking like we will get him which is unbeleivable!!!!
  22. Yup Andy needed the tour of America to impress Moyes, looks like his career is now over. Over the top prediction but I reckon it will be true. A link of his class http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2iwggKmtH0A
  23. I think its a sorry state of affairs when we are having to sell off players to raise money still. I like Kenwright, but if he can't provide the financial muscle he should stand aside because I'm sick of Everton being a laughing stock. We have built some solid foundations under Moyes and we haven 't even got him signed up to a contract yet. If we only sign an adequate replacement for Carsley I will be happy. As for Johnson, he is a good player that we don't need to sell if we want to be challenging. Anichebe is not a prolific goalscorer, maybe Vaughan could be if he stayed clear from injury, who else is left after that? More kids? We don't need to sell, we need to buy if we want to compete against the top four and stay ahead of the rest.
  24. Don't that's what is getting me worried......Can see it now, BK: We will not be chasing any further signings Van Der Meyde is like a new addition. It would follow the Everton script.
  25. We going to start a sweep? I reckon 3 substitute appearances in the new season and a start in the cup. Nah I'm being dead tight, sorry Andy.....keep up the training.
