Daily Post also saying we are about to sign him for £5M and seem to think he will be in before the weekend.

 

I think he is much better thean some of the CBs we are being linked with just not so sure about paying £5M for someone his age.

I think of all the defenders we are being linked with my prefered pecking order would be

 

1. Taylor

2. Distin

3. Shawcross

4. Cahill

5. Wheater

6. Senderos

7. Samba

8. Craig Short

9. Glen Keeley

10. Huth

My main target would be Michael Turner (Hull), if not, then Titus Bramble was awesome for wigan last year, only the Toon that seems to have an uncanny knack of destroying players profiles.

I would have either of these 2, depending on the price

Unless we get rid of Lescottt asap, and try and move on, i fear the worst at present. Lescotts head has clearly gone with the cash he could be getting, and it would appear the rest are unsettled with that show today,

I really like Saha, at his best he is class, and hopefully hes due a good spell

£20 million plus Micah Richards, plus Jo on loan for the season then definatley let Lescott go

Lescott and Mark Hughes are supposidly on holiday in Dubai at the moment, seems very likely that hes on his way to me

The only guy who looked dangerous for us was Saha in my opinion, very dissapointing team display, needless to say im gutted. Chelsea were not that much better and barely done enough to win.

On the other hand, very good season on the whole when considering the injuries weve had and we should hopefully strengthen in the summer for another crack at the top 4 next season.

I think oyr best option will be to play 4-5-1, pack the midfield with Pienaar, Cahill, Fellaini, Neville, and Osman, with Saha up front

e would be a great signing for us, very much out of our price range i think though

No1 really stood out for me, thought Rodwell done very well against a decent Spurs midfield so my vote goes to rodwell

Im from the north east, and there has been for quite some time that a lot of Newcastles players do not want to be there, ive heard numourous stories from toon fans about bust ups players turning up late or even faining injury, i think Owen can still be as good as he has been, we should definatley take a chance on him if he drops his wage demands.
