  1. darts: not a sport. summit you do in the pub. plus commentators get on my tits

golf: again not a sport and just boring to watch and play

American Football: seriously its so stop and start its annoying. plus its a rip off of rugby but it includes more kevlar

Man, you just took the words outta' my mouth. Exact same reasons, Darts players and commentators need to seriously lighten up, they throw darts at a board in a dark room. I mean even when Phil Taylor plays it's still at a venue that's done up to look like a pub. It's not a sport, it's a nice little activity to occupy drunks that happen to be in the pub at 1:00 in the morning.

polo, curling, any olympics game except boxing.

    american football.

how on earth can you hate basketball? its well good imo.

Basketball is awesome. I'm going to try and start following it this season. Los Angeles Lakers are my favourite team, I watched Russia and Lithuania in action at the Beijing Olympics and it was a great game!

Does anyone know how to get NBA coverage in the United Kingdom?

    Thanks in advance ;)

    Curling.

i mean, wtf? sliding stones across the ice??

Amongst the other sports I hate, Tennis, no skill just two men hitting a ball back and forth to each other. Sailing, it's a guy in some wet water freezing his nuts off trying to move a sail towards the wind in order to get his boat to the finish line in order to get onto dry land and have a warm cup of tea. Totally poinless, nearly as pointless as fishing which is now considered a sport.

    -Fishing

    -Tennis

    -Sailing

    -Curling

-American Football (It's rugby for puffs)

    -Darts

-Golf (Yeah, just use your hand its easier)

  2. He was transferred to Fulham for £2.1million in 2000. During a spell of nearly four years at the club, he scored 63 goals in total. In the promotion campaign of 2000-01 he scored 27 goals to fire Fulham into the Premier League. During his first season in the top flight, Saha scored nine goals in 44 appearances in all competitions, including scoring twice in games against Manchester United and Chelsea. He was less prolific in 2002-03, scoring seven goals. In his final season at Fulham he contributed fifteen goals in only 22 appearances before leaving in the winter transfer window.

Saha had a good time at Fulham, he was a real threat for them and helped them to secure a place in the Premiership. He looked really good when he played and you knew it was only a matter of time before either Manchester United or Arsenal snapped him up.

If you look at his records he's not done bad considering he's been injured for some time. He's managed to net 53 goals for Fulham in 117 appearances and scored 28 goals in 86 appearances for Manchester United. Hopefully him and Yak will be a good strike force for 2008/09.

In my opinion this is the perfect signing, we needed a striker to play alongside Yakubu and this is the perfect man. We look good in attack now with Yak, Saha, Vaughan, Baxter, Jutkiewicz and Anichebe (even though Anichebe can leave for me) we should really start to roll in the goals and challenge for Europe again this season.

Good signings so far, Jacobsen looked good against Nurnburg and Castillo's looks good according to his Ecuador records. I suppose we can't complain getting them on a free transfer. But we look set for the season now, one or two more signings (a goalkeeper please?) and we should be done - COYB :D

  3. I'd also be a bit kinder to Victoria Wood and Jo Brand (although anyone who presents a "funny foreign TV ad" programme has a lot to answer for).

Rory Bremner I wouldn't really class as stand-up, hate "impressions" but as a political satirist I quite like him.

Wood & Brand totally wind me up. Mock The Week is one of my favourite shows on television but when she's on I actually refuse to watch it, I can't stand her.

I put Rory on the list because of his time on Mock The Week where he did do quite a bit of stand-up comedy. I know he dosent do much stand-up tours but some of the rounds involved him just to be a normal comedian. And he was funny. :D

  4. I am queitly confident of a win. Portsmouth have a few weaknesses, Pedro Mendes has left for Rangers and they're low on morale, and I can't see any of thier strikers scoring past Tim Howard.

Plus they have to play us at home, so it will be all the more harder, trying to get your first point of the season in front of a loud Everton crowd. I can really see them struggling against us, we just need to keep our focus and concentrate on the game. If we can do that Portsmouth shoulden't be much of a challenge. A good three points in the bag, looking ahead to Hull City.

  5. I'm a big fan of comedy. I'm going watching Frankie Boyle in December Live. I'm really dissapointed that he's decided to leave 'Mock The Week' because I think that he's the main reason the show is a good as it is. I put Mitchell & Webb as some of my favourites for thier work with the sketch show and with thier series' of 'Peep Show' which returns later in the year with its Sixth Series.

  6. Portsmouth arn't that good with Krancjar. I can still see it being a tough game but I'm more than confident of the win. Yakubu's good form will help us and with the likes of Osman and Arteta already with goals in the season we could see more midlfield and winger goals.

My prediction is that we will score early with Yakubu. His good form is giving him real confidence and he played well against West Brom. From there we will keep going and nick another before half-time. Second-Half will see us defend and allow Portsmouth to have some chances but Howard will stay strong and keep his first clean-sheet of the season. 2-0 Everton.

  7. No. Remember when they did that style where they ripped all of thier shirt off? England, Sweden, Chelsea and many more had the same format of a first colour as the main and a cross in the shoulder as a differant colour.

Nike have done it too with that shield format, where there was that white bar for the players name. Holland, Arsenal and Man U shared the same style as many others so no they cant.

  8. Albert Riera has been linked with many European giants such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan he has also recently been linked with move's to English giants Arsenal FC, Everton FC and Liverpool FC.

Sounds like he could be a good player. He's scored a total of eight goals for Espanyol, not much but if you look at the teams that have been sniffing at him he must be decent. I'm just glad we were described as 'English Giants :D'

  9. I'll just do what Everton Lad did, I don't really look at the lower leagues in enough detail to make a fair judgement.

Championship - Bristol City, Reading, Charlton Athletic

    First Manager - Mark Hughes

  10. For me Jose Baxter was the winner, after coming on he really lifted the team's spirit and get them really working. Blackburn were starting to get into the game and we needed to hit back at them, until he came on we had no passion, flair or enthusiam and it was starting to really show. At such a young age Jose for me was a great player to have on the field and a great player for the rest of the team. Can't wait to see him in action against West Brom.

  11. I suppose you need to get your season off and running, but were only two games in and your still a newly promoted side. You should get something against Bolton I expect them to be in the 18th-20th position come May. I still haven't seen MOTD but when I do I think I'll find that you played well, I rate West Brom I just wanted them to do down last time for thier hidious yellow and green away kit :P

  12. What sporting event should be added for 2012 Summer Olympics?

Darts. I mean think of all the medals we would win with all the differant types of darts. Like Dave Mitchell said if we come up with fifty differant versions of the game we would be guaranteed fifty gold-medals. We need a sport other than sailing to be dominant at.

Can we not have more races? How about a mini-moto or 125cc motorbike race, I would like to see that included in the Olympics. We could have our home-grown riders up against the likes of Rossi and Pedrosa in there for a medal on the podium.

  13. One problem with that.. the players have to be under 23 to enter.. only three over 23 can be in the squad :)

I think there should just be a mini-league between the four nations (Ireland have their own Olympic side and I'm surprised they don't have a football team maybe had they beaten Belgium to qualify for the u21 tournament they would have done?) u23 sides and the winner of the league should be put forward as the Olympic team.

Just had a look on the Olympic Website, never knew about that rule. So I suppose that my team is a void - still a nice team to have. I would love to see the likes of Bale and Faddy representing us nationally. We should do like you said. Have a Youth Tournement and have the winners compete in the Olympics, we should get it going soon with London coming up we need to get a good fix ;)

  14. I think we should play a normal 4-4-2 formation with Lescott, Yobo, Jagielka and Nuno at the back (Yobo and Lescott in the centre) with Mikel, Tim, Ozzy and Baines in the midfield, I liked how Baines played at left midfield against Blackburn, I can see him getting some goals this season for us, has he scored for us yet? I don't think so.

I would play Yakubu and Kissock up front with Kissock just behind Yak. Kissock seems quicky and tricky and it would be good to have this up front, Kissock running the defence ragid before setting up Yakubu for the killer move.

I think we'll leave it late. I can see us going into half-time at 1-0 with a midfielder getting a goal, maybe Osman. West-Brom will get into the game and give us some trouble but Howard and the back 4 will be strong and it'll be a clean sheet with one of our attackers, probably Yakubu getting a second to make it 2-0 at the end.

^There you go, I am a good pundit. I thought that Osman would pop up with a goal today and Yakubu just seems to be finding the net for us at the moment. I would have liked us to keep a clean sheet but looking back I would class this game as 2-0 with Brom's goal coming from the penalty spot. When I saw that it was a penalty my heart sank and the red mist grew after recalling Yakubu's stupid error that cost us the game last week.

Thanks for the great game today lads. How Arteta doesn't play for one of the big 4 is beyond me he's immense! Lescott is one of the best center backs i've ever seen at the Albion in my life. I was dissapointed with Yakubu a little bit as he in effective. I like the look of that young lad who had a goal dissalowed ( Rodwell ? ) I'm not sure why it got dissalowed tbh as i didn't see anything wrong with it. Howard + Lescott have gotta learn to comunicate as they got in a mess so many times today. IMO i thought we deserved a point. Shame about your second goal from a mix up between Carson & Meite. Yobo is a class player aswell IMO. We need a striker ASAP as we haven't got a proper finisher. Everton got any young players we can have ? :P

Thanks for making it a great atmosphere aswell. I thought we were fantastic untill you scored and you lot are vocal aswell.

I think us & Everton have one of the best support in England.

Enjoy & good luck for the rest of the season.

I'll be back when we play you away :)

^Nice comments Baggies I honestly think that you will do well this season. You've had Premiership experiance and you seem to have a good team for your return. You do need a striker but have Anichebe. I seriously dont rate him anymore so he's all yours.

I agree with you on support. We are good supporters because we may not be the loadest but we stick by our team, I mean no signings and the stadium plans up in the air most fan-bases would be decreasing rapidly. I haven't seen any of the game I'll try and catch MOTD tonight coz' I wanna see that Rodwell goal and your 'dubious' penalty

  15. I still can't believe the FA hired that cock

You speak on behalf of all of us. Trying to fit in with the Dutch..

Fucking hilarious....also talking English in a mangled foreign manner....moving around the sentences  .

    Complete idiocy confirmed.

Yeah, somehow when he moved to Holland he forgot how to speak with good grammar, when he started talking about Emirates Stadium and Arsenal he tried to be more clear by using complete crap English..

  16. We should have a Great Britain Football Team for the Olympics.

    -James

    -Terry

    -Ferdinand

    -Bale

    -Carragher

    -Fletcher

    -Lennon

    -Koumas

    -Lampard

    -McFadden

    -Rooney

^I managed to get a good Starting XI. As expected there was a lot of English in the team but I managed to fit some other nationallities into the GB team. I could see that being a good attacking team too which would surely get into the medals. I mean we should beat Argentina, China, USA and whoever else is doing well this Olympics.

And of course, the manager. Sam Allerdyce?

  17. I liked it when they announced that they would have a luminous kit, but for some reason that one just isn't to my taste, it just dosen't look right. I want a new colour for an away kit, we always seem to have white. Whatever happened to yellow and black? Everton's kits always seem to look the same, the goalkeepers kit's are the only one's that change and they're starting to stay the same with black and green being repeated into this season.

I don't like the sound of navy for the lettering either, why not just standard black like Chelsea had? I woulden't mind following a similar layout to what thier kit had, at least they had a good shirt, I thought we were going to be getting our kits from Nike this season?

West-Brom will get into the game and give us some trouble but Howard and the back 4 will be strong and it'll be a clean sheet with one of our attackers, probably Yakubu getting a second to make it 2-0 at the end.

  19. Thanks.

I think it would be better for England if they started to play more of the younger players, those that haden't made it into the team and had not had a sniff of International football. I mean when Jose Baxter came on against Blackburn the other week he completely changed the team. His flair and enthusiasm got the whole team fired up and we started to play well and looked like scoring. I believe that with England players like Gerrard and Lampard don't give 100% because they know that if they were dropped there would be a media out-rage and they would be quickly returned to the team with a pay-rise. I believe if we had the true heart and spirit of the younger generation then England would start to look like a decent challenge.

  20. England need a good leader, that's a fact. John Terry has proved he can be a good captain for Chelsea and now England. He's a world class player doing well down in London, getting Chelsea into the Champions League final and so nearly winning the trophy. I think that this announcement will make him stronger as a player and will make him and England better as a whole.

Rio Ferdinand is one of those players that has his off-days. He sometimes comes across as being in it just for the money whereas sometimes he can come across as a nice guy that loves the game of football. Rio did well as captain under Capello for the one game that he was captain and proved to be a good candidate but he is not in the same league as Terry in terms of captaincy for me.
