What can be done to ease the pain?
-
I'd like to see...
.........Howard..............
Nev...Yobo...Lescott...Baines
Osman..Cahill..Felli..Pienaar
........Jo...Saha............
and just bully the fookers and get the ball in the air (champagne football!) We'd have plenty of height at set-pieces and with pienaar and baines down the left we should be able to get some crosses in!
Agreed. I think we can win this in the air.

In Moyes we trust.
Seconded.

Dislike them all bar numbers 5, 3 and 1
You disliked Donkey Kong Country?

Have any Americans got EvertonTV? I tried to get it for this game and it kept saying my phone number and address were invalid. I assume it's because they are US. Anyone know? By the words on toffeetalk, perhaps it's for the better that I couldn't see this one.

I might need to get Everton TV this month just to see the highlights with this away shirt in action. Also quite intrigued by the described action on the part of Jo.
-
How about if he's offered the Scottish national team?
-
Did anyone else notice that John Harkes said he talked to Moyes and "he wants to buy some players when he gets back to England." Let's hope that's the case.

Even though it may be clear once the season starts, I'm not sure you can say there's more chance of champions league play yet.

Saha looks sharp, im excited about the newcampaign with him and jo all white kit aswel, im guessin thats a training kit? Osman looked good yday aswell, Howard was on-fire in the game, the save from Casey's header was mint! looked a really exciting game!
Yeah, very pleased with Saha's form.

A lot of yacht rock. I'm especially into Kenny Loggins' Keep The Fire album now. Also, see hear this remix that combines "Regulate" with the sampled "I Keep Forgettin' ": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I5-vIXZizk.

Jo played some good balls from the left!
I'm quite pleased with this.

I hate to just rant, but Sunderland? Sunderland!?!? Please.
-
Fair enough.
-
Is this a Lescott thread?
-
But I've spent so long learning 2 imitate Prince song title with my typing.

Where are you from in the US, and are there many other Everton fans around there?
-
With this signing, is there any EPL team that will challenge Everton for best hair next season?
-
I assume they'll be wearing the new home kit?
-
Is it just me, or are the 2009-2010 kits just dogshit all over the league? Our home kit has its defenders, but I can't say I'm a fan. The Manure kit can't excite anyone too much. I saw the Chelsea today, and it was almost decent but has some weird bra-looking thing on the chest. What's with the prominent yellow on the Spurs home kit? And even though they are now Championship, it has been addressed elsewhere on ToffeeTalk that the Newcastle away kit is simply pure comedy. The only ones I've seen that I thought were decent were West Ham and Citeh, and those were pretty much the same as this past year. What are people's thoughts?

Thank you for that video. Brilliance. I actually just played in a band at a wedding two weeks ago where we played "The Boys Are Back In Town". Amazing to play if you can get the three guitar attack. It would have been even better if we had pulled off this transition from "Cowboy Song"!

I quite like Supernatural as well (although I've only been able to view (download) a couple episodes), but to me "The Wire" is still the best show ever made (and I don't even consider it a close race).
I've never seen Supernatural, but I have to second your opinion on The Wire. What a masterwork.

The fact that you have had a pictue of Nugent for the last year on your profile speaks volumes.
Please. Why must we pick on the man who recorded "Wango Tango"?

Well said JD. I was going to add something, but I think you just about said it all. I do have a hard time believing that more people play baseball recreationally than basketball. Maybe that's my bias from being in a city.

I'm really hoping that today's game was what we would call an "any given Sunday" situation here in the US. With some new personnel in and that result to motivate the boys, I think the next few weeks can be a lot better.
