  1. He has a lot of qualities (he's physically strong, has great technique, nice pace, a good shot) but still a lot of the time he doesn't really stand out. That's why I don't think he's ready for a club like Everton. For a player with his qualities he isn't dominant enough in the game. Plus he needs to straighten things out first as there has been a lot of controversy around him because of the red cards against Anderlecht (although 1 of them was yellow at most), also contrary to what the article claims Standard doesn't want to sell him. If Everton would buy another Standard-player, they should go for Defour.
  2. Thanks guys, I already feel welcome As I said, Felli probably needed time to adjust to the pace last year which is of course a lot higher in the Premier League than in our Belgian Micky Mouse competition. But I believe he has the talent to succeed in that position. And by the way, who are the other Belgian members?
  3. Thanks. I didn't really understand why Moyes didn't play him in a defensive midfield role last season, but he probably had his reasons. Maybe Felli really couldn't cope with the pace of English football last year. But he looks like he's adjusted now and can play in the role was used to in Belgium. I think Everton and its fans are going to enjoy him the coming years (don't be worried about a transfer to Chelsea or something, the reports in the English press were totally different from those in Belgium).
  4. Hi guys, I'm Steve from Belgium. Following English football has been one of my favourite passtimes for some time now. And I've taken a liking of Everton after they bought Marouane Fellaini from my favourite Belgian club Standard. I've become a regular viewer of Match of the Day too this year with al the Belgians (well, like 3 or 4 guys) playing in the Premier League which has increased my passion for Everton. So I thought I might register on an Everton forum to keep up with the latest team news, plus the communicating might come in handy as I'm thinking of studying English next year
