yea a tag team thing could work too...who else could be through in there with the Quinny boy? What about Mick Hucknall he is another sanctimonious opinionated sh1tbag! (remembering the anti-City of Liverpool comments he made!) God only knows, he's perfect! lmao!
He's also a manure fan isnt he?
-
I wonder if i could fit 'The Prisoner' across the top and 'toffeetalk' across the bottom and probably the number 3?
-
Continuing on from The Prisoner comments, I would not like to hit a woman, but I could make an exception for Raymond Quinn. Would love three rounds with him...oh yea!
Ha Ha! nice one mate!
Fancy some Tag Team
-
we should all go to a game together all sitting next to each other that would be great, id defo go then haha
It would be good to go to a game together as a group, i tend to have to work on a saturday but if it was ever organized i'd sort something out
-
I know you cant hit a woman(Mrs Beckham) so give me 1 round with mr Beckham and get the mop and bucket ready for the clean up job!!
-
yer i got it =]
i know it is embarrising that we dont have any scouts overseas, we need to start being like arsenal and signing young foriegn players, it works for them so why cant it work for us?
the only thing is the players arsenal get cost as much as a finished article sometimes £7m for walcott, i agree with you all the way on this one, i think this is the way forward for us, i was watching that plummer kid from bristol city on you-tube earlier, looks pretty useful but maybe a bit small at the moment.
-
yer true but we dont have the scouts to send them off to spain/italy/holland etc. i think, or do we have scouts, i remember someone mentioning we dont have many, but i agree moyes usally only buys from the britsh isles, lat player he bought from overseas was VDM wernt it?
Its pretty embarrsing for a prem club to have no overseas scouts, don't you think?
PS: Everton lad did you get my message i wasnt sure if it worked or not.
-
whens BK ever been popular?
i see what you mean like but we would end up being fed more bullshit from BK and more moaning from moyes about not haveing found the right players for the right price <_<
Thats cause moyes thinks that the game is only played on the brittish isles, he does'nt seem to realise sometimes, that it is a world game with a world full of players to choose from.

Lets give BIG DUNC a ring, get van the man whipping the the crosses in an fergie nodding em into the back of the net!!
Are you MAD!!!!!
Dunc was a waste of space from start to finish apart from that, what do you really expect to get, he can only play for about 10-15 mins I agree that we should be concerned at the lack of activity in the market considering the size of the squad and the injures we have.

Love that album (Voice)...my brother has a worn out copy and I have an even more worn out cassette . Magaged to find the first three tracks online to download but can't find "Keep death off the road" or "Circumstances," which is more than half the album obviously (think I did know about Unit four plus two..rings bells). I saw Colosseum II on a couple of occasions, though not the originals...Jon Hiseman is/was the best drummer I've ever witnessed, mind boggling! He played with Greenslade on their farewell tour...one of the best gigs I've ever seen. Apologies to everyone else (or most anyway) who have no idea who we're talking about !
I would have killed to have seen Colosseum in their prime.Their sax player Dick Heckstsall-Smith died last year he also played in something called the "Graham Bond Organisation" who were a bit earlier also in the band were Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and John Mclaughlan, and of course Graham Bond himself who was a legend on that swirling Hammond organ. Not a bad line up heh? Hiseman replaced Baker when they formed Cream i think.Have you heard them if not i suggest you do.

I'd have come to this thread days ago if i had noticed it but, Just saying 'Hello' to all the toffees on TT, i hope i can stick around.
-
Don't suppose you have any Capability Brown ("Voice" specifically) or Home ("The Alchemist"). ..funny just thought I'd have a quick look at ebay before I posted this and I've found both of them.
Anyway fine taste Prisoner...went to see Wishbone Ash recently about thirty odd years since I last saw them. Memories...don't get me started, I'll bore evryone shitless .
Yeh mate ive got the "Voice" lying around somewhere, did you know they have 3 LP's from the 60's as a psych/pop act called Unit Four Plus Two. At the moment i've been exploring the late 60's early 70's jazz rock scene bands like Nucleus and Colloseum and a german band called Can who were about 20 years ahead of their time, some of its mindblowing.

I notice that wigan are favourites, i fear there could be reprecussions if we lose.
-
Have to be honest and say that I don't know much about it but Portsmouth didn't sign him so what does that say?
that was because of the £12m price tag.
-
good idea but it wont happen unfortually
Hi mate, I never thought it would happen, i just think it might be a good idea as neither the manager or chairman are particularly popular at the moment.
-
Everton Lad have you heard Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Misery Loves It's Company and Seventeen Aint so Sweet If not then have a listen.
I just landed an original copy of Pink Floyds 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn LP' Syd Barrett at his finest. I'm a big record collecter mainly 60's psych/70's prog I reckon i have about 3000 LPs 1500 7in 2000 CD's.
-
I was just looking at Tristan Plummer on You-tube, he looks very promising, maybe we should just look towards players like that, then nurturing up, its clear we do not have the money for the finished articles.
-
How old is he?
i think he's 29, i''l have a look.
-
another player just wanting more cash.
i hate the RS, but surely as a footballer you would rather play for them than west ham???
Andy Townsend and Mike Parry were talking on the radio this morning about this new breed of mercinary footballer, i think it's quite sad actually.

----------howard----------
neville-yobo-lescott-baines
-arteta--barton--fernandes-
-----------cahill---------------
-------aj---------nugent----

is he any good, i don't much about him
He is a tall tough tackling Senegalese midfielder, a decent passer and he knows where the net is, he would be better than Carsley, the only downside is he is nearing 30 which goes against building a young team.
-
He's not the best though. If you wanted the best you'd go after Cech, Given, Buffon etc.
The fact is though mate we dont have that kind of money to spend on one player, we have to buy tactically.
Hi mate, this was my point about having the Q & A session with the fans (I wish!)(My other post thats up) Lord Showbiz needs to come out and say what he is doing to get the money so we can compete for these type of players. A club the size of ours should be going into each transfer window/close season with a budget of at least 10-15m.
-
Fancy paying £10million for him? Thats what Fulham have been quoted.
I didnt know they were quoted that price, but if you want the best you have to pay for it, and we always go for second best.
-
people seem to be picking on howard about long range goals, but even englands number one has been conceding from range, shay given has, rayna has. other than that hes a good instinct shot stopper, gets crosses well, and he shouts at his players when needed, something we need to keep in our squad
Its better than having Teflon i suppose, the sooner he's gone the better, personally i would rather have someone like Craig Gordon.
Whats The Future
in General Everton Discussion

I think we have all realised that we probably won't sign anyone in the window, it's not ideal but shit happens. So who would you like to see in the summer? we know which positions need strengthening but with who? the board and manager will have more time to work on future moves for the summer rather than panic buys now.(although we could do with some extra bodies)
