zequist
Ćustić, a 24-year old soccer player with NK Zadar of the Croatian Premier League, died Thursday after striking his head on a concrete wall during a match on March 29. http://uk.reuters.com/article/worldFootbal...393548520080403 First thought after reading this: What a sad story. Condolences to the young man's teammates and family. Second thought after reading this: They put a hard concrete wall hardly more than a bodylength away from the touch-line? What the hell were they thinking?
Blue 250
I read in an Evertonian magazine a year or two ago about one of the Everton players in the Everton disabled team!......From what I can remember he lost a leg whilst playing football in a gym and putting his leg through a glass door! We've all played football in gyms!.....concrete and brick walls, with the only gap in these walls being glass doors! Freak accidents are never far away, luckily they don't happen very often. Makes you want to shout even louder at peolple like Torres who go down in agony when someone touches their hair bands!!
