Man City boss Mark Hughes is lining up a final move for Chelsea captain John Terry believed to be a £50m transfer fee and £250,000 a week in wages. Terry will be 29 in December, so has four to five years left of his top-flight career. Would you ditch Chelsea for the cash and has Mark Hughes gone Mad.? troy8 Posted July 27, 2009 Report Share Posted July 27, 2009 If I were Terry I honestly wouldn't, I'd imagine he's on a fair bit of cash to begin with at Chelsea and the fact he's been with them his entire career is testiment to his loyalty. Whilst a rise in pay is always somewhat desirable, I think even on half of what he gets now would be enough to set him up for life once he retires. Adding to that by saying in the past day that he wants to stay with Chelsea makes this move seem almost 100% unlikely; fair play to him for showing loyalty to Chelsea.
