However, this one looks set to be the exception to the rule. Chelsea look set to potentially complete a British transfer record deal to sign Fernando Torres, Liverpool are splashing the cash to get Luis Suarez to join as a replacement, while Spurs seem to be running around Spain with a pot of gold to try and sign a top striker.
