TrueBlue
is actually a Man Utd song, well apparently. Heard it on Sky Sports News just then, some fella wrote a book about football songs and there origins. Man U sang YNWA after the Munich disaster. Lookin for more information on internet but nothing so far.

Louis
Bill - it's plausible.. it was written for a film called Carousel which was released in 1956. Link Oscar Hammerstein II don't ya know
Bill
Yeah, i'm not disagreeing with anyone, just that it was a relatively unknown song until Gerry took it into the Charts in the 60s. Thats when Shankly and the redshite took it on Board.
TrueBlue
Looked for more information about it but can't see anything. It was sung by Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Nina Simone before Gerry and the Pacemakers redone it. Although that information is from wikipedia. Randomness
aparently it is treu which is why manure fans tend to boo it rather than the cockney "sign on, sign on" version
