  1. Agreed, while being away from Goodison will make it a tougher match, I still have faith that Anichebe/Jelavic/Fellaini will be able to knock a couple past their poor defense. The question is will we concede less than they will?
  2. Well there goes my prediction of Piennar scoring. I am going to be very curious to see what lineup DM uses for the match as we do not have a lot of options and are running thin on players. I'm still hopiing that we will be capable of knocking a couple past them and secure a crucial 3 points.
  3. After watching Newcastle Utd stick around during the Arsenal games for the first 70 minutes and and then fall apart in the last 20, I'm not really sure how this one is going to end. We haven't kept a clean sheet for weeks now and I'm afraid that this will not the be the game where we get one. However there defense is pretty atrocious so I hope that we can nip some goals from them and hope for the best. I think both Jelavic and Fellaini come out hungry in this game and give us just enough firepower to win this one. Newcastle 2 Everton 3 Jelavic, Fellaini and... Peanuts
  4. My thoughts exactly. This squad looks so much better when he bosses the midfield.
  5. Pienaar... wow. Really bad effort. Still though we are lucky to come away with a point here.
  6. Makes me wonder why we haven't seen him more often. He's been solid so far.
  7. Terrible 1st touch there... nice save by Howard though.
  8. Surprised to see Barkley instead of Oviedo.
  9. Unacceptable by Fellaini, we are going to miss him these next few games.
  10. Still can't believe that happened, wow! That's why I love football. Everton fought and crawled (een though they looked done after that Dempsey strike) and got the result. Great win.
  11. That kind of language directed at someone is unacceptable. It's easy to find a scapegoat but in the grand scheme of things, the play of the entire team was a let down.
  12. Haha, I've had so many problems with FIFA servers myself so I know your pain. Thanks MikeO, I've enjoyed reading your opinions about Everton and you definitely seem knowledgable. And I will complain about this to my friend (Chelsea fan) all day now. Edit: I mixed you up with Romey, I'm sorry about that. Guess that happens when you're fuming

I do not like to take games for granted but this was a game that Everton should never lose, especially if they want to be a top 5 team this year. I am sick and tired of having **** refs officiate for us and like someone above me mentioned, I hate using refs as an excuse for losing a game as well. Having said that, the game would have been completely different if we were given those penalties as the score would have been 2-0 or even 3-0. I think we bury this Reading side if we are given those penalites But instead because of the refs (and our lack of ability of putting the ball in the back of the net) we were only one goal up and gave them the belief that they were in the game and came out with a fire, just like I expected them too. Everton on the other hand looked like deers caught in the headlights and were not ready for it. One free kick and a penalty later, we are left with zip zilch nada. And yes, I am fuming. It looks like I need to take a cold shower now...
  14. I would give it to Naismith for the energy he came out with in the 1st half but after that abysmal 2nd half, I refuse to vote.
  15. I know I am posting this at a bad time (that 2nd half was terrible and I need some time to vent now) but this game has motivated me to become active on the forums (and take out my frustrations by typing ). My name is Carlos and I am originally from Los Angeles. I am a huge LA Galaxy fan and had kept up with Everton since their cup game against Chelsea (another disappointment) but when Landon Donovan went on his first loan trip, I became a loyal follower. I look forward to going to Goodison Park one day when I am older, and can afford it lol. I go to college in Louisiana now but still go to Los Angeles when I am off, which is how I chose my username. I look forward to contributing to the forum and reading all of your opinions. They have been great and have helped me learn about Everton's history and have also made me proud to being a fan of this great team. COYB!
