  1. Not sure about Osman on the wing... Bar that pretty much as good as we've got. Unless were playing a narrow 4-2-2-2 Howard Coleman Jags Distin Baines McCarthy Barry Barkley Osman Mirallas Lukaku Not sure if it would work, personally think that it would clog the middle, just a thought though
  2. Brilliant!!! F***!!! God I hope he's alright, sore one... Though he was out cold there....
  3. Poor challenge, but should never have got that far... Who was trying to see it out and did a shocking job of it??
  4. What the F*** Terrible defending all round
  5. Must say, Lukaku seems to be bringing the best out of Mirallas, and not sure is it Roberto told him to, or because hes more confident with McCarthy behind him, but Barkley seems to be freed up a lot more in the second half here..
  6. Immaculate free kick, Some awareness to see the keeper moving a little to one side and then what an effort! Need to push on now!
  7. Makes some difference having a proper focal point up front...
  8. Well that was utter muck... By both sides but you have to expect us to do better. Mirallas our best player so far, but thats not really saying too much. Hope to see Martinez shake things up at half time, needs to send a clear message that the first half want good enough.. One shot in the whole first half.... god...
  9. Could see that coming a mile away...
  10. Very much letting them turn it into a scrap, Need to move a little more lively and start dictating a bit
  11. I really wonder what we do when Distins legs give out...
  12. Would have preferred a few changes, but still should be a good enough team for a comfortable 3 points. I will say thats probably the strongest bench I can remember us having, should be good signs for the season ahead
  13. Meant to be studying for an exam this morning, but I think we all know this is a little more important! I really think the Chelsea game could be a big springboard for us. Not sure if it was because we were playing Chelsea, the impact of the new players or the new found competition for places, but the levels of intensity and desire that was shown last week was hugely impressive. If that can be dug up regularly, we could be on for a better season than I expected in August. Would very much like to see McCarthy given a start. I think his cameo off the bench last week merited getting to see a little more of him. And I think everyone knows Osman isnt suited to playing the deeper role alongside Barry. From what Ive seen of McCarthy with Wigan and Ireland, he looks a stronger player in the air than Osman too which could be needed against any team Allardyce manages. That aside, I think bringing in Lukaku is a no brainer. Not sure how fit Kone is and, much as I like Jelavic, I dont think we can afford to keep playing without a real goal threat up top. Going to venture for a 2 0 win here, do not think West Ham have enough about them to score, and feel we have enough about us to keep it comfortable. Lukaku and Mirallas with the goals
  14. Unsure on this now... Was not expecting Naismith or Osman to start.... Shame Kone is injured, could have done with him today. Although with Lukaku not available and Kone injured, it doesnt say much for Vellios that he still isnt included on the bench
  15. I cannot help but think, even though he's out of form, Jelavic would have at least tried to get on the end of that ball. Great play Ger
  16. How is that not a second yellow? Exactly what he was already booked for!! Ref is some bottler. Gave Villa 2 penalties and sent of Koscielny in his last game, was he warned to give nothing in this one??
  17. Osman has done nothing to warrant his selection yet again today, but far more worrying for me is Mirallas. After how he ended last season, and continued in pre season, I had very high hopes. But he has been poor again. I dont think being central at the start of moves suits him, much rather see him drift infield late
  18. Great save but just before that was frustrating... 6 defenders in and around the 6 yard box for Colemans cross and not one attacker. Someone has to get there. Still, more encouraging last 10 minutes against another team who seem to have no interest in crossing the halfway line.
  19. Home town ref doesnt quite do this lad justice... Crowd gets what the crowd wants
  20. Sluggish start, looking a bit better now. Against a team that is sitting back, i think we need to stretch the pitch a lot more. Spread it quicker
  21. Naismith has taken up some good positions but just seems to lack an ounce of pace
  22. Good effort, unlucky. Cannot see us nicking this, hope Im wrong though
  23. How, oh how, did that stay out??
  24. That was utterly beautiful.....
