  1. Really can't comment too much on this match, have absolutely no idea what is going on. These commentators really don't bother too much with details like where the ball is on the pitch, or getting names right. Sickened theres no streams for it
  2. Ya they can be very hard to fully heal, Rodwell came on today but think thats the first time since October. But hopefully this is just a precaution because he felt it tighten, not a full recurrence.
  3. Was just thinking the same thing. Its one unlucky reoccurring injury, if they were different ones every time I'd be much more concerned
  4. Only had that there under the assumption Baines ankle still isn't great, otherwise I'd have him in in a heartbeat. Last thing we need is Baines getting a lingering injury like Mirallas had
  5. Hoping for a comfortable win here, but thats just not the Everton way this season. If Baines ankle is still at him, I'd much rather see Oviedo in the team. Suppose it kinda has to be Pip for right back if Coleman isnt fit. Do think Mirallas could do with the game time, and if he doesnt feel great take him off at half time. Howard Pip/Coleman - Jags - Distin - Oviedo Mirallas - Felli - Ossie - Pienaar Vic - Jelly Hoping for 0 2 win but see it being a nerve wracking 1-2 instead
  6. Agree with a lot of what is being said here, he is not a player who can handle high balls to him all day. Is it just me or is he spending much too much time running the channels too? Whatever his strengths are, being stuck out wide against a full back isn't high up the list (Assist for Vic against Newcastle aside) Really think having Kev back could help Jelly though, seemed to strike up a decent relationship at the start of this season Vic has certainly earned his spot this season, not his biggest fan before but hes won me over. Only concern is Vic and Felli up front together will just turn into long ball central, midfield won't even be looked at.
  7. Would disagree with this... Two wrongs do not make a right, and sending off a player in injury time doesn't even up anything either
  8. Honestly, Ref must have fancied Christmas off or something.... This is beyond stupid. Both should be overturned
  9. Dear God, this ref is shocking. Always a goal from Osman and never, ever a red card for Cole. Terrible officiating all round
  10. I'm sorry, but that is not good enough from Howard. Shot wasnt near the corner and still beaten at the near post
  11. Much as I'm worried about aggravating Mirallas' hamstring strain, I really think this is one game we need his pace in. Agree that Fellaini should be dropped deeper but an attacking three of Osman, Mirallas and Pienaar should be able to put Jelly through for a few. Need a big game from Distin in defense too but going with the heart here, 2 0, Jelly and Ossie
  12. Great win. Didn't see it coming at all in the second half but fair play, we kept plugging away and got our reward for it. Thought we were solid defensively. Coleman looked very exciting in attack, especially considering it was Vertonghen, one of the best players in this league this season, that himself and Mirallas tore to shreds! Don't think I've ever seen Defoe and Adebayor so quiet in my life, not given a sniff. We looked quite impressive in attack with Mirallas on the pitch. His pace and trickery free up a lot of space for others, as well as his good work on the ball. Pienaar still doesn't look 100% though, was poor but no fault for his effort. Jelavic also looked brighter than I've seen in a while. His movement and work rate was brilliant. Lastly, a special mention is needed for Gibson. Was very much a harsh critic of him when he joined but has proved me oh so wrong. Was immense yesterday. Was looking to see who would win between Dembele and Fellaini, but Gibson easily outshone them both.
  13. Gave it to Coleman too, exactly what I hoped to see from him in an attacking sense, and a much improved defensive performance.
  14. Delighted with that but god, never saw that coming! We looked dead and buried there
  15. So a point away at the champions, have to see it as a decent result. Was very impressed with Gibson and Osman throughout, never seen Toure have less of an impact on a match, they thoroughly won that battle. Pienaar is still slowly showing a return to form and was much happier with Baines' set pieces today. We sorely lacked a turn of pace though, when under pressure, if we cannot find Felli or Jelavic straight away, we have nobody with the pace to trouble, as Tevez did to us (And hes not the fastest either) Mirallas is the obvious solution for this, but we cannot rely on only one player for this. Oviedo is quick, but is more of a defender than a harrier/annoying player. Long has shown for WBA how useful it can be, and think we could do with someone similar. Really worry is the lack of a threat on the right at the minute. Were far too predictable because very little gets played through Naismith and Hibbert together. Again Mirallas a solution but the last few weeks have shown the peril of depending on one player. Still, not a bad situation when you are disappointed with 5 points from last seasons top 3.

    Arsenal

Not a bad game last night. Thought our defense was the most solid I've seen it in a long while, bar the first minute. Although they were helped by Giroud being very poor last night. Midfield controlled the tempo fairly well, especially considering its an area Arsenal are used to bossing. I find its much more calm and controlled when Gibson is in the side. Naismith wasn't at his best but I thought the rest of our attackers had a good game. Pienaar, while maybe not his devastating best, was much improved. Jelavic was brighter than in recent weeks but also not quite at his best. And theres nothing that can be said about Fellaini that hasnt been already. Never seen someone of his physique glide around a pitch like that. Form player in the league imo Overall, happy enough. Add Mirallas back in and I will be expecting a point at least off a misfiring City
  17. So thought the whole back four took a while to settle but after they did looked solid. Was worried about Coleman against a direct winger like McClean but he came out well on top. While he scored, Johnson was owned by Baines for much of the game. Am somewhat worried that Pienaar and Baines have looked a little out of sync recently though. Mirallas looks better all the time, a real threat and pray hes not out for long. Fellaini was not at his best for long periods today, but maybe thats because he just normally plays to such a high level. Does leave me wondering that if his two moments of magic both came after he reverted to a deeper role in Pips absence and could time his runs more, should we keep him there?? A great team wins when not at their best, a great player changes a game when not at his best. And thats what Felli did today. Better performance from Jelavic too. Goal aside, it was still a more busy and effective performance than the last few weeks. So overall, happy enough. Made harder work of it than we should, and cant keep relying on the big man, but 3 points are 3 points, no matter how you get them.
  18. Gave it to Coleman, Fellaini wasnt at his best bar his flash of Genius for both goals. Thought Baines and Jags did well, and Ossie his usual busy self. All deserve a mention

    Fulham

It is the managers decision when he chooses to bring on a 3rd centre back for our only striker. Retreating into our shell was never a good move. That said, the three points should have been well wrapped up at that stage. Have also had enough with Neville. Thought he had a decent game for the most part but the free kick today, lost the challenge for Hoiletts goal... Two goal costing mistakes in 3 games is not good enough

    Fulham

Sickening result, really need to work on our finishing. Pienaar never really got going yesterday. Most of our good play came from Coleman/Mirallas/Osman today. Looking at the second Fulham goal again, Coleman looked for the pass up field before losing the ball, but had noone. Terrible move by Moyes to bring on Distin for Jelavic. Sickened, but still. Were in the top four, need to give Sunderland a good hammering next week though to stop the sequence of draws
  21. Right, could rant about ref problems and mistakes all evening so just going to focus on our positives. Happy with the way we pulled ourselves back into things, was fearing the worst at 2 down. Mirallas was fantastic, Coleman was very good again. Both getting much better with every game they play, have high hopes there. Osman had a good, controlled game again, looking forward to himself and gibson playing together. On the whole, delighted with our first eleven still, but am concerned by our lack of strength in depth which was shown up again yesterday

    QPR

Poor performance it has to be said. The right starting 11 were out but Moyes got his positions all wrong. Vic is not a winger, why break up Pienaar/Baines and Coleman/Mirallas partnerships? Makes no sense to me. Defense kept us in it, but midfield was overran. Graniero made it look really easy. Not to be beating a well worn drum, but Neville was very poor. Missed the tackle for the goal and slowed everything. Difference between him and Gibson is Neville's first choice is to pass it to his centre backs or flat sideways, Gibson gets turned and starts us moving forward. Still, on and up. At the start of last season we would haave lost that game
  23. Jags for today, although I thought Coleman and Distin were also very good today. Dissappointing that none of the offensive players really warrant much of a mention

    QPR

The type of game that worries me, looked a little complaincent against Wigan Howard Coleman Jags Distin Baines Mirallas Hitz/Neville Osman Pienaar Vic Jelavic Still think we need Gibson to keep our tempo. Could be a big loss for a game like this. QPR defence is full of mistakes if kept under pressure so going to go for a 2-1 win for us
  25. Always been a fan of his. Thought he looked good at West Ham a couple of seasons ago, although missed a lot of time because of injury. Could do much worse as a backup player
