The only number i would get is 9 - ROWLO

    or at a push 5 - LABONE

there is no way that i would put the name of any footballer on my back whilst heis still playing - they are already big headed enough and they are no better than you or me so why praise them in such an immortal way?!

  2. Hes not going to come out and say its beautiful and like a family if hes going to fook off IMO

    31073

Hmmm..the EFC official site is as bent as any other news source. They tell us what they think we want to hear and that is it.

Nothing special about this report - its purely that nothing is happening at the club and they need to keep the fans fresh and pacified for the next few weeks otherwise the doom and gloomers amongst us start rambling on about the board and about the lack of signings etc.etc.etc.etc.

I mean - last year moyes spent in excess of £20m pre-season and people still moaned and groaned about the transfer market problems...

  3. If they have a sickness entitlement in their contract then I would obviously honour it...but businesses don't succeed by being all touchy feely with their employees.

    ...............................

I agree....... he's made a million pounds out of us while he's been here, so if he has got Drink related problems, he should sign into Tony Adams rehabilitation clinic and get it sorted.

    31066

He has probably already been in there - hence the blag injury (perhaps?)

  4. agree but thats all about commitment and in my eyes VDM dosnt have that

    30420

    The thing is this...

alcoholism (like many drugs) robs you of your ambition and any commitment that you have (or think you have).

People are lazy - I am! But when you are a player and getting stupid money a week and all you have to do for it is TRAIN and play football - then that is what you do - there is not much commitment there - believe me!

get to training for 10am - train for a few hours and back home you go -- not asking much from the sane everyday person...is it?

Yet VDM can't do it - if you are an alcoholic you only ever want one thing - ale. You are a very selfish person and you are usually a pain in the arse that is not focused on anything around other than the next drink.

My father is an alcoholic - he goes to AA and I, along with my mother, go to Al-Anon (the family section of AA - helping those with alcoholic family members overcome the problem).

I aint preaching to no-one but I do understand (partly) alcoholism more than most.

If VDm is going through this illness (and it is an illness of sorts) then I pity him but in a sympathetic way.

It is difficult to shake this disease off as no drug can help with the mental side - its there, ticking away inside of your head and there aint nothing, except will power, to help you out.

WE all kow how bad will power is - how many of us on this forum have dieted - and failed or used the 'i'm happy with my weight now so i can stop dieting' excuse - to only find that in a few months we are back to our original weight? Why does that happen ? nobody knows but its EXACTLY the same for the alcoholic.

If VDM is finding it tough in the UK and is regretting his move then he should go - There is nothing worse than someone who doesn't want to be around. Let him go if that is the case.

If the problem is alcoholism then we shoudl address that head on, get him the help he requires and get him fit again so that we can enjoy him on the field and he can enjoy us...

phew--thats the deep minded, sympathetic Rowlo over for one day!

  5. sorry pat i like my drink and drink a bit down the dock (albert dock) and seen him twice down there dinkin during the week (only when i've been with her when see has let melol) but he has been there

but that is all i'm saying

1st thing is i like a drink but i think he could pos be my new best mate lol

    30352

Alcoholic?!?! He basically admits it in his own statement - 'I had a hard time whislt injured and just wanted to forget about everything'

so, reading between the lines, that means that he basically drank his way through injury and then couldn't get fit to play for us - is that not an alcoholic?

I hope for his own sake that he is not an alcoholic - its a terrible thing o have to live with and go through and its even harder to expell alcoholism...so for his sake and his families, I hope that he is not an alcoholic.

He has a great talent and he needs to focus his energy on that talent, forget the press and the rumours and start playing good football, like he knows he can.

You dont get signed on by Inter and Ajax if your an average player - and you certainly can't get into the Dutch national side without having something special - perhaps though, the pressure was/is a bit too much for him personally.

I hope that he can focus for us next year, if he wants to stay. I hope Moyes and the blue boys can give him the direction that he needs.

Lets wait and see - but i am not hoping for anything because we are Everton and we are blessed with 'not getting the rub of the green'!

  6. Just wish one of tescos trolleys would run BK over and let someone else have a go.

    29490

The tesco guy is already a big investor in the club anyway.

Having him on the board will make no difference whatsoever!

Just heard a rumour that United have done a deal with us over Cahill - reportedly worth around £9m...

    if he goes, were doomed.

  7. Whats going on down at Camp Everton??

Firstly - why are we so concerned about Shandy andy wanting out. He played less than a handful of games last season - and I know for a fact that he was fit for a lot more but the booze kills him off.

He is getting stupid money and not even turning in...

As for Valente - did anyone see him last night - hardly set the world to rights did he?!

The pair of them can get fucked as far as I am concerned.

Although we have been very shit in the past, I have been able to pride myself on the fact that the nucleus of the team is full of hard working lads and we have had few mercenaries to talk of (Compared with other teams).

It is only natural that players dislike some clubs that they join but some players make a habit of burning bridges everywhere they go...

VDM isn't welcome anywhere and it was funny to read his rant...'if juve get relegated...' well THAT is the only way Juve will give you the time of day - a dutch no hoper, serie A top team....I dont think so.

We can sign a decent left back and its not like we will miss VDM on the left wing - because we hardly seen him last year.

Moyes, although dodgy in the market and straight laced in his tactics, is at LEAST not soft with his players...

If they are causing a stir - get rid. WE dont need them, they never helped us to european football and they aren't exactly breaking their backs for EFC.

We dont need them - off load them, let them rant as much as they like...

Just make sure that you keep Arteta, Yobo and Cahill.

  8. HAHAHAHA

We must be one of only a handful of teams that has gone down one year and then gained promotion with a striker scoring nearly 40 goals and then our first year back in the top flight we won the league with the same striker scoring 45 goals...

how many teams have gone done, come straight back up and won the league in the promotion season??!?!?! Can't be many!!!

perhaps one to put to Tyler?!?!

  9. I dont think that players should be allowed to pick and choose numbers - it should go back to the old days when the starting eleven played in 1-11 and the subs where 12, 13, 14 etc.etc.

    Just kiddin!

My team for next year (and numbers)

    ..................Howard (1)..................

    Hibbo (22)...Yobo (4)....Huth (5)....Valente (3)

    Arteta (6).....Cahill(7).....Neville(8).....VDM(11)

    ,,..........Beattie(9).........AJ(10)..............

    Subs

    Osman(21)

    Stubbs(1,000,000)

    Weir(12)

    Anichebe (15)

    Turner(13)

    Davies (20)

    Carsley(16)

    Hughes(18)

    Hopefully the following will go....

    Pistone

    Weir

    Wright

    Naysmith

    Kilbane

  10.

Yeah nice to hear from you, i havnt heard a bad word from any Palace fan so far, just that they are glad he came to us and not Bolton or Wigan. Good luck next season

If i supported a club in the championship I would be gutted if my star striker signed for WIgan! (Especially when they talk shite in the press conference about big club, great fans, passion for the game blah blah fucking blah!)

I hope that Jordan gives you some of the money he has raked in from us to strengthen your squad and get back into the prem.

I also hope that he keeps up the court case against Dowie - that was a shitty stunt that he pulled to get the Charlton job. 'i want to go back up north to be with my family...' how far north? is what SImon Jordan should have asked!!!!!!!

Dowie - good manager in my opinion but a shit house for pulling that stunt!

  11. One problem with that theory VDM was injured Davies was just shite tho I would be very happy to be proved wrong.

I think that VDM will come back strong and try to prove his doubters wrong - - hopefully.

Davies - not sure what was up with him. I watched the Spurs v Arse game the other day from the 04/05 season and Davies was superb down the right and he didn't cut into the middle like he does for us...so that leads me to believe that the management did not want him to play wide right - could that be Moyes and his negative football? get everyone in the middle and we cant concede (we wont score either!)??!!??!?!?!?!?!!?

AJ great signing - i think £8.6m is a bit steep but we had to pay large to get good players - wigan were matching it for fucks sake!

Oh well...he's ours now - lets hope that he can bang a few goals in for us!

  12. Moyes, or any other useless Everton worker, if you read this site.....

DO not sell Andy VDM now. We are onthe verge of completing the AJ purchase and then we will have two good strikers that will need quality service up front. DOn't sell VDM now - we need somebody who can cross like him and arteta.

AJ is a good signing (prob a bit expensive but thats football and Moyes in the transfer market).

BT will benefit from having a lively striking partner

the team will benefit from AJ's work rate.

    DON'T SELL VDM now!

  13. surely not. its a joke if this happens. when we bought him we knew he would take time to come back from injury and more time to show his best, ok it has taken even longer than thought but the guy is a dutch international and should be given, as said, at leat til january

    Wht is moyes doing...

    first Ferrari and now VDM...

He will probably sell Arteta, Hibbert and Yobo next...

Cant get my head around it.

VDM was injured and then didn't have the best of games against Boro - so what - he had just come back from injury!

He played some great crosses when I watched him and he had good skill on the ball...

so, obviously moyes cant handle that...........

I bet he keeps the dynamic kilbane though!

  14. RIP, true legend

At least now he can have a pint with true legends (like Dixie) and have a good old laugh at the redshite!

    Farewell Labby...

There isn't a player at Goodison today that is worthy enough to rank themselves alongside you.

RIP and keep watching the blues - the good times will roll again.

    J

  15. LEE TRUNDLE - AN EVERTONIAN AND A SCOUSER THE TWO BEST    COMBINATIONS EVER.  WILL BE EAGER TO IMPRESS AND WILL GIVE 100% UNLIKE SOME OF THE LAZY B@STARDS WE HAVE WHO JUST WANT THERE WAGES.

AJ - PROVEN STRICKER AND WILL COMPLIMENT BIFFA AND/OR LT WELL.

JERMAINE PENNANT - HIM AND AVDM ON EACH WING WILL BE LIKE HAVING KANCHELSKIS AND LIMPAR BACK.

MATHEW UPSON - THE ROCK AT THE BACK WE NEED HIM AND YOBOCOP WILL BE A FORCE TO CONTROL MOST PREM FORWARDS.

    Lee trundle aint Prem quality.

Pennant yes - him and a fit VDM will do well together - but will VDM ever be fit?

Matthew Upson - good CB, but makes more mistakes than Joey!

Ferrari is quicker and looks for the quality pass from the back rather than a big hoof!

AJ - where is this proven striker shite coming from. He scored 11 penalties in his first yr in the prem and then has played in the ming mong leagues after that...hardly proven. and his playing style is all about muscle, not speed imo. No different from BT.

    Nugent on the other hand...
