  1. i think this is the last time were gunna get it for at least 3 years with the current regime.

Thats a pretty pesimistic view there mate. I agree that we're not the most affluent of clubs under this regime but they've gotten us this far and who's to say Moyes won't be given the backing to go and make a few more signings to improve out side. With the likes of Gosling, Rodwell and Baxter coming through, if Baines and Vaughan sort out his 'fitness' problems, Peanuts signing on permenantly (for next to nothing!) there's light at the end of the tunnel without signing anyone, which we will.

Newcastle always have money to throw around and remain shite, Spurs were in the same position at the beginning of last season everyone said they're the ones to watch, City will have to greatly improve to keep up the challenge. Admittedly Villa are going in the right direction but i think we are too.

    Chin up StevO!

  2. What was the biggest most audacious move for a player that you and Davey made/planned that us fans didn't hear about?

What is your opinion of the proposed move to Kirkby? What does Moyes really think about it?

Do you think Andy Van Der Meyde will ever get back to playing football regularly? Is he passed playing for a top team in a major league?

Who was the hardest working member of the squad during training sessions? Who put in the extra mile?

  3. Keeps us up, is it that bad?

I'v got a season ticket and i go away when i can and at no time this season have i ever been worried about us going down!

Who knows, the teams below us seem to be buying players and we seem to be losing players. i'm not saying marcus Bent had that much influence (if any as it goes) but i'm just worried if we lost Beattie to an injury we'd be playing a half fit Ferguson and Cahill up front.

However you look at it we need another striker and if Trundle is what we can afford i think it's worth a go.

  4. Agree with Rob here 1.2 for a second division or what ever it is these days is silly especially a 29 yr old with no pace.  he may be able to show boat but look at what he is show boating against

I'm of the opinion that if we've not signed anyone by the end of the season and Trundle is available for about 1 million he's worth a punt. He's knows how to score so if that keeps us up 1 million would look like a steal.

  5. Lets not get on his back. It is probably very hard to find encouragement and motivation from the subs bench.

being on the subs bench should be the biggest motivator around, i wouldn't mind but he didn't even look like he wanted to play, maybe he is forth choice, maybe he knows he's forth choice but that shouldn't stop him playing to the highest of his capabilities.

If nothing else he should be playing for a move to another premiership side but appearnaces like that wouldn't warrant a move to a championship side!

  6. For me that was Davies' best performance - i was starting to doubt him. MOM contender.

McFadden is growing in confidence every week and starting to show us what he does for Scotland in virtually every game he plays for them

I must have been watching a different game - Killer is still shite. Fair enough he ran his socks off but that doesn't constitute a good game, he gave the ball away on too many occasions with wayward passing.

Still think Beats needs to do more, effort is one thing but if you're a 6 million pound striker you expect a better return than just effort. He did well in the air and held up the ball well, pity about the 40 yard effort!

Bent was a disgrace, he shouldn't kick another ball in the in that shirt, he totally lacked commitment, endeavour or even willing. If thats him fighting for his place God help the lad.

Valente, Weir and Hibbert did alright, Yobo was the star of the defence again for me and looks confident and assured when Neville's marshalling that space in front of him.

Well done Wright, i saw him catch the ball 3 times! I also saw him make some excellent reaction stops. Would love to see him do well.

Overall, great team effort, i think we could've and should've won. They had the majority of the possession but i felt we had them on the counter towards the end, if Bent wasn't so turd we could have snatched it.

  7. I have heard DM on ever increasing occasions, state that he may not need to buy a striker in January, if the lads he has start performing.

I dont know about you, but that scares me! is he priming us for a let down, does  he have no intention of buying, or does not have sufficient funds available?

Maybe its just me, but I feel that no matter what our front boys do in the run up to January, we MUST get at least one striker. They have proved what I said earlier in the season, our present players would struggle hit a cows arse with a banjo!

Maybe he's just trying to spare our current strikers on, start scoring or i'll bring someone in and sell one of you lot!

  8. Apparently there were rumours going around stating that sissy wasnt happy after he got subed by harry kewell on saturday and he may leave analfied to play for the arses in january...

I watched the game with my mate who's a red, Cisse looked completely baffled. he didn't spit his dummy or naything but couldn't believe what was happening, it was like 5 minutes into the second half. It seemed like he left the pitch without acknowlegding Kewell or anyone else for the matter.

I think he had a right to be a little miffed, 5 minutes is hardly enough time to see what impact he would make in the second half.

  9. Don't think we have got that much money to spend in January, so can't see Moyes going for a winger.

Upfront will be the area that Moyes concentrates on. I think he will be all out for Keane (But he will have to take a 50% wage cut, which could be a problem that is out of Moyes hands, if somebody can match his £60,000 week wages, I would be he would move where the money is, who ever will pay them).

Wouldn't be at all suprised if we bought either Nugent or Trundle as well.

If two striker come in, don't be suprised to see Bent move on.

Agreed, i honestly can't see us getting Keane. The likes of Newcastle (and possibly even the $hite if the rumours about Cisse are true) would be in for him and will pay the wages he demands. I think Nugent and Trundle maybe a more realistic option although i'd still love to see Keane over anyone.

  10. Keane AND Johnson if we can afford it, beattie would then have 2 step up a gear to get a starting place so there would be healthy compition. Sign Nugent in january but loan him straight back 2 preston for more experiance, thats what i think moyes should do, what do u all think.

I don't reckon we can afford it, Keane or Johnson (i think Johnson maybe the easier tempt) and someone on the cheap would be great. I'll be interesting to see how much the price of players has fluctuated since the window shut when the likes of Johnson was valued at 10 million and Nugent at 5!!!!

  11. "Mighty Blues"........since when exactly? 1987 perhaps yeah?

What's going on here Kato? I can't understand for one second why you would want to come onto an Everton forum and just try to wind people up, surely you can find something more contrusctive to do with your time, i remember commments like this from liverpoool fans when i was like 14 years old. Grow up.

Other liveproool fans have been on here and posted sensibly and they are treated sensibly but you do nothing but provoke your just going to get stick ..... or be ignored.

As for the game i see a healthy Everton win. The Albion have quite a few of their better players out (including Campbell as far as i know and we all know how players tend to come back and haunt you) and we've got quite a few of better players either back, on their way to full fitness or hitting form (come on Beattie lad!!!!). dare i say 2-0 to the blues?
