I always think your restricted with 2 defensive midfielders and you don't really need both to play like that. We had one of thee best in Carsley which freed Gravesen or Arteta up to push on. Makelele did it for Chelsea for years and allowed Lampard freedom to get forward. Most DM players don't start out that way you need excellent positional play to carry it off and that comes with experience. It also helps if you have 2 really good centre halves behind him aswell 2 who play well together and know each other which is something we don't have. Hopefully Koeman can instill a little bit of his knowledge into one or 2 of our players and teach them where to be and when to be there because Martinez certainly didn't.

He tricks defenders by not having any control of the ball I've said it before he doesn't know where the balls going so how is a defender? I'd also point out what awful goalkeeping aswell as defending went on in that clip.

I wanted Pellegrini at first until a mate of mine who breathes Citeh pointed out his similar playing style to Martinez. Scores lots of goals but concedes just as many. Their defence isn't that great to be fair. I'm kinda hoping for a bit of both with Koeman a little of Moyes defensive nouse and a fair bit of flair going forward.

I really am shocked some will be disappointed with Koeman, I was horrified when we appointed Martinez he proved me wrong the first season but then as I thought it all fell apart! We're appointing a manager who played at the very very top, unlike Martinez. Someone I believe is very well respected thru football and will use that to sign some players who probably wouldn't come if he wasn't here. I'm also hoping his appointment means some of our players who may have been undecided now decide to stay. Doom and gloom I suppose has been drummed into us over the past 20 years and at last things are looking up.

I agree with that although I think he may have learnt his lesson last year when his agent bullied him into handing in a transfer request. He's behaved himself this year and I actually think he may stay if anyone can teach him when and where to play it's got to be Koeman he was some player.
