1. Ive been debating this in my head all day, and I have a gut feeling he wont start both McCarthy and Barry together

one of them will be on the bench. Hasten to add just a feeling ive got and I hope im wrong.

With the standard of opposition will RM go with a whole new centre midfield from the off. The Question for me is whether he has

lost faith in Ossie like the fans or will he bear with him looking for the response new competition brings.

Just don't think its as cut and dried as many seem to think.

More than anything if we lose this fixture I hope the doom and gloom brigade are,nt out with sharpened knives.

Even at our best we have a hard time versus Chelsea and even another draw would not be a bad result

and I hope Mourinho is still daft enough to leave class like Juan Mata on the bench.

A win would be awesome and a fantastic boost but a defeat here would not send me into panic. The oldest of clichés

but I believe one slice of luck or skill and off we go.

  2. I don't think Everton have gone stale in any way shape or form.

    1. Goodison is like any other ground in that the fans respond to how the blues are playing, Many times the Atmosphere when

the ground is rocking is absolutely incredible a shiver up the spine feeling. But ditto most grounds, it depends on the team.

The only 2 grounds I can think of where they sing constantly are Cardiff and Stoke (as a rule, they also have quiet spells)

Also I,d like to point out what Jose Mourinho said. In his opinion the most intimidating stadium in England..GOODISON PARK.

    2. The Crest, totally agree, an ill thought abomination, I did not buy any tops this season because of it. Truly shocking.

3.The away fans. There is simply no where else to put them, unless we ever get a new ground then thats where they,ll stay.

I love the fact that there are Everton fans behind both goals, better for our team and their morale.

And if you want to see away fans treated really badly try paying £69 at the Emirates.

4.The phone call. The club received a quick sharp nasty shock with the crest debacle, I believe a lesson was learned

so anything that improves the communication is fine by me.

    5. In conclusion Everton do the best with what they,ve got, and other than some multi million investment coming in

we just have to get on with it. This club has soul, spirit and a feeling that is lost at your Chelsea,s and Man City,s.

All in all im content and very proud of Everton Football Club.

  3. A reply to The Regulator.

The person who told me about the incident is my oldest lifelong friend, a person I trust with my life, who is respected by all who
know him. If he says he saw it on a local news item then I totally believe him. I would also add he is a Rugby mad bloke
and he told me because I was at the game and wondered if I saw or heard anything.

As for Facebook, im not on it think its crap, and it nearly split another friend,s marriage up with a false and malicious rumour.
From what I know about Facebook, a person may say they have around 600 friends on there, but only see or really bother with
about 10 out of the 600.

I know many Cardiff fans who go to the matches, all tidy lads who love their club like I love Everton, and have great pub banter
and football debates. And being welsh myself would be the last to cast aspersions against other welsh people.

So on what ive heard made me ask about an incident that believe me I hope didn't happen, but with more than a pinch of salt
I think something happened because of who told me.

Other than Everton not winning I had a great day out in Cardiff and the atmosphere was not one of intimidation

I am only interested in getting to the facts of what sounded an awful incident. If I thought it was just a nasty rumour
or made up gossip I would not have bothered posting in the first place.

  4. MIKE O, If the book you are talking about is BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE its brilliant.

Also a fantastic book called INTO THE HEART OF THE SEA BY NATHANIEL PHILBRICK

A true story about and old whaling ship sank by an angry bull sperm whale, the survivors taking to the small boats

their battle to survive and even having to draw lots to see who would be killed to feed the other men, all the men who

died of starvation had already been eaten.. An amazing true survival story.

  7. Rate Oviedo highly, but im worried his lack of first team action at Everton will see him moving on.

Never fails to amaze me that Naismith is usually the first sub used, want to see a lot more of Oviedo

the lad looked really good pre-season and want to see him progress as an Everton player.
